Your Next Stamp November Release Hop

It's beginning to look a lot CHRISTMAS! Holidays stamps are everywhere!!!

It's release time again at YOUR NEXT STAMPS and we are gearing up for the holiday season that is fast approaching. This new release is FAB-U-LOUS, with so many amazing new stamps and die. Grab your coffee, tea or maybe even a hot chocolate and sit back and enjoy a bit of holiday inspiration.

It may be quite obvious today, which of this month's release images are my favourite. Now the Gift From Cuddles the bunny, which I previewed yesterday in our sneak peek (here) was fun and makes the sweetest holiday card. I also enjoyed creating with the the sweet Cupboard Full of Cuties, which you will see in a few days. For today however it's all about SANTA and this one is not sporting a sleigh.

For my first card I used SANTA EXPRESS STAMP along with the matching dies. To make the card more interactive, I added a little folded "book" on the front of the card to show off this image a few fun dies. The Doodlebug paper was just perfect for this set, maybe because it is also called Santa Express.

Also featured in my fun card today is the Snowflake border die, Winter Fun tag (snowflake), Sled and Presents die, Stitched Fishtail tag two, and the ever fabulous white Gumdrop.

For my second card, I also created a card using the SANTA EXPRESS stamp and die, however I also added to it the SANTA EXPRESS TRAIN CARTS stamp set (which also has a fabulous matching die).

This Santa is enjoying a leisurely drive with loads of presents in his carts. To create the mounds of snow I cut a rough snow hill using a double sided adhesive sheet. I applied this to white cardstock then peeled off the other the backing and applied Sparkly Fluff (from Our Craft Lounge).

Here are the stamps and dies used on this fun card.

To celebrate this months release Karen is offering a fabulous deal on the new release items.

My fellow DT friends and our Guests have been having a lot of fun creating our Holiday projects to show off this fun new release. Take your time and hop around to each of the blog (listed below). As you are hopping remember to leave a comment at all of the blogs. Someone will win a $20 YNS gift certificate (winner announces November 12th).

Thanks for stopping by and happy hopping!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps # 256 Clean & Simple

Hello Krafty Peeps! I hope your weekend is starting off well.

I am back with my second post of the day, this one for our newest challenge over a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

Today I am hosting this week's challenge and my theme is CLEAN AND SIMPLE (CAS). Everyone interprets CAS differently and what it means to you will often be based on your personal krafty style. I am a Krafty Girl that loves layers and embellishments, so CAS for me is less of all of that.

Head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog for all of the details about our Saturday challenges. If you play along you may just win a fabulous prize (gift card to the KKS shop).

I used the darling SPARKLE FAIRY from our recent October release and created a simple card with minimal layers and ribbon. The paper is Teresa Collins - Tinsel and Company.

Head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog to see more CAS inspiration from some of the other Krafty Girls and our new Krafty Guests.

Did you see the Frugal Friday specials this week? There is a theme with the images that are on sale. As a sponsor of Kit and Clowder, Kimmie is helping the super talented Alyce Keegan celebrate the launch of her new Animal colouring class (released November 7). Alyce features Godiva in her new class, so this weekend's specials are all featuring animals. Check out the store for all of the amazing images on sale now.

Thanks for stopping in today and enjoy your weekend. Stay KRAFTY friends.

Your Next Stamp Sketch/Colour Challenge # 1

Hello everyone. Today I am excited to share my first card as part of the NEW challenges at YOUR NEXT STAMP.

That's right! Not only did Your Next Stamp launch a new website for the store, there is also a fabulous new blog and new challenges. The challenges are now bi-weekly, so you have two weeks to play along with each challenge. As part of the new challenges we are still providing a fabulous sketch option, however the inspirational photo is now a colour challenge.

For each new challenge you can create a projects based on the sketch and/or colour option. If you are using the colour challenge you must use at least 3 of the colours along with neutrals. Check out all of the details for the new challenge here.

Challenge # 1 Sketch and Colour:

For my card, I worked with the fun Sketch, however I did incorporate a number of the fabulous colours as they were perfect for my fall card.

My card today is featuring Ellie Loves Lattes which was my very first Your Next Stamp image that I ever bought. It's still one of my favourites. I also used the fun Mini Ink Splatter and the Heart Doily die set. This was a great sketch and it was fun to find different ways to play around with the various circles, especially because I don't use circles very often in my creations.

I hope you are feeling inspired to check out the new challenges at Your Next Stamp.

There is still a prize of a $15 gift certificate to the YNS store for one random participant ($20 if a YNS stamp or die is the main feature on your card). There is also a chance to be selected at the YNS top pick. For this honour you MUST use a YNS stamp or die.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back soon.

Have a fabulous Friday.

Tracy

Supplies:
Stamps: Ellie Love Latte, Mini Ink Splatter

Little Red Wagon # 262 - Home is Where the Heart Is

Today I am back sharing a card for our weekly challenge over at Little Red Wagon. This week Carolyn is our hostess and her challenge is called HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS. So what does that mean? Well this week Carolyn is looking for each of us to interpret the challenge in our own way. You may be inspired to create a card or perhaps a layout comes to mind with this phrase. Create a new project and link up your creation at the Little Red Wagon Blog.

I was very excited about this week's challenge. I took the HOME in the literal way and created a winter scene on my card with the WINTER HOME stamp set from YOUR NEXT STAMP. I really enjoyed the scene on my first card with this set (here) so I once again grabbed my distress ink to play around.

To create the night sky I used the distress ink applicator and applied my blue inks starting with salty ocean, broken china and finally faded jeans. I then used the Sakura white glaze pen to add my snow.

On top of my distress night sky I then layered my house image which was coloured with Copic Markers and paper pieced portions of the house to create a very subtle dimension to the winter home. The snow effect was created using Deco Art Snow Writer. I kept the card design simple to showcase this amazing stamp. The paper is from Fancy Pants (Merry Little Christmas).

Here is a look at the inside of my card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have time to play along with this week's HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS challenge. Stop over to the Little Red Wagon blog to show us your stuff and check out what my fellow Girlfriends are showing off today as well.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps # 254 Glitter and Glamour

WOW can you believe it is the first of November! That means it's time to put away those Halloween stamps and get moving on your Christmas cards. Today I am sharing a card for this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge. Deborah is our hostess and her theme is GLITTER AND GLAMOUR.

Grab your stamps and create a NEW card, layout or altered project that has a little or a LOT of GLITTER AND GLAMOUR. Link your project over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog and you may just WIN a $10 gift card to the shop. Now that is an exciting prize! Now we love it when you use the fabulous Kraftin' Kimmie stamps for our challenges, and when you do you will double your chances to win. However since we love to have everyone play along, you can use any stamp as long as it follows the challenge theme!

I am ready to dive into my Christmas cards and for today's card I used the sweet penguins from JUST CHILLIN'. Now my card is more GLITTER than glamour, but fun just the same.

The card is fairly CAS with a small amount of fun paper from Doodlebug Santa Express collection. To add a bit of glitter I used Maya Road Chipboard snowflakes, and coloured them red with Copic markers. I then ran the snowflakes through my Xyron and added Glitter Ritz Microfine Glitter. I also included a fun glittered Doodlebug sprinkle from the fall assortment pack.

Here is a look at the inside of my card.

Are you ready to play along? Join the fun and show off a bit of Glitter and Glamour with this week's challenge. Check out the Kraftin' Kimmie blog for more details and for the links to the other Krafty Girls that are sharing a bit of GLITTERY inspiration this week.

Did you see this week's FRUGAL FRIDAY deals? If not you MUST check them out. There are some amazing deals on a number of fabulous stamps (25 - 50% off) .
