Kraftin Kimmie Stamps December Peek - Make a Wish

Hello KRAFTY friends, welcome. Today we are set to KICK OFF another amazing release for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. That's right, today is day ONE of our previews and we are starting off this peek with a BANG!

In addition to show off this wonderful preview set, Kimmie is announcing the addition of a NEW artist. Now this talented girl is no stranger to the Kraftin' Kimmie family, as she is actually one of the talented Krafty Girls. I am happy to show off my project featuring a fabulous new sentiment from the MAKE A WISH set by the amazing Becky Pearce.

I love these sentiments for a lot of reasons. They are great as a stand alone on the front of your card, work well coordinating with a fun Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and they work great as your inside sentiment to finish your card.

I was so excited to work with this set and took a break with colouring images and created a card using the sentiment only. I heat embossed the sentiment with brown embossing powder (American Crafts Zing) and used paper from Cosmo Cricket (Art Angel). The flowers are all a mix from various companies.

Inside the card I added a second sentiment from this set. Now I am all ready with a simple birthday card.

Thanks for stopping by today and remember to check out the rest of the Krafty Girls and our talented guests as they show off more projects using the MAKE A WISH set. Leave a comment as you are hopping along as there will be a random winner who will received a $10 gift voucher for the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop. That would be such a lovely Christmas present to yourself!

Tomorrow we will have more previews and then join us on Sunday this month for the live ONLINE release PARTY!

Release Party:
Date: Sunday December 14 at 2:00 pm (est)

Your Next Stamp - DT Dare (December)

Today I am sharing a card as part of the new DESIGN TEAM DARE at Your Next Stamp. This is a fun challenge the design team is given and we show off some of the new release image with this challenge.

This month as things are a bit hectic for everyone, our challenge was simply ANYTHING GOES. That is something I can do at the moment.

For the outside of my card I used the December released SNOWFALL stamp and HOUSES ON A HILL die set to create a winter scene. I have been enjoying getting inky with my distress ink, however this time I changed up my night time blue for a more sunset look.

To created the sky I heat embossed the SNOWFALL stamps with white embossing powder. Then with the the Tim Holtz ink applicator I applied the my distress inks (Scattered Straw, Worn Lipstick, Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans). The streaks across the sky were a happy accident. I used a baby wipe to clean up the ink that was on top of the embossed portion and it left the streak. I think it gives really cool effect to the evening sky.

For the inside of the card I used the FOREST FRIENDS stamp and the sentiment is from the WINTER HOME set.

Now make sure you head over to the Your Next Stamp blog to see all of the DT members participating in this month's dare. You will want to leave a comment over at the YNS blog because one lucky commenter will WIN a stamp set of their choice.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a terrific Thursday!

Kraftin Kimmie & Little Red Wagon (So Flaky)

Today I am multitasking and sharing a dual post for the Wonderful Wednesday Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.....

AND this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon.......

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps:
I am hosting the Wonderful Wednesday challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and as always, these are ANYTHING GOES challenges. There really is no reason why you shouldn't play along. Create a NEW project and show it off. Simple! There is a chance for a prize (double chance if you use a KKS) so that's even more reason to join our challenge. Check out the Kraftin' Kimmie blog for all of the challenge details.

Little Red Wagon:
Janice is our fabulous hostess and she is getting a little FLAKY this week. That means she would like to use you use snowflakes on your projects. I say all the better on my cards than outside my house. Your snowflake can be an embellishment, stamp or as part of your pattern paper.

I don't know about you but I am still frantically trying to get through making more Christmas cards, as it appears my card list is a bit bigger than I realized. That said, I am not giving handmade cards to everyone, as I really don't have that kind of time. So yes there are some on my list that are getting the store bought version. Yikes. I haven't had to do that in some time. Maybe next year I will be better prepared.

Now onto the card. This week I used one of the sweet images from the Cheryl Grant SNOW MUCH LOVE set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I just love these winter images and darling Lucas looks like he is ready to play in the snow.

The snowflake paper is part of the Carta Bella Bundle Up 6x6 paper.

The snowflake embellishment is a chipboard one from Maya Road. I painted it with white acrylic paint, covered it with Glossy Accents and sprinkled with Glitter Ritz Micro fine glitter. The snowflake is topped of with a Red Glittered gumdrop (Your Next Stamp).

Here is a look at the inside of the card.

I hope you have time to play along and get a little FLAKY with us for the LITTLE RED WAGON challenge. Link up your projects at the blog and check out what my fellow Girlfriends have put together for you as well.

Please also head over and check out the WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY challenge this week at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS. It's anything goes and you will see some fabulous inspiration from some of the talented Krafty Girls and Guests.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fabulous day.

Today, I am sharing with you a little sneak peek of some new release items that will be available tomorrow for the Your Next Stamp December release. If you head over to the YNS blog, you will find a list of all of the Design team members that are sharing peeks today.

I then used white embossing power which I heat with my heat tool. Next I applied the distress ink using the Tim Holtz ink blending tool.

To complete my winter scene I used the new FENCE AND LAMP die and the snow hill is from the FOREST SCENE die set.

The large snowflakes are also from the SNOWFALL STAMP and were heat embossed with white embossing powder and I embellished them with a few red glittered GUMDROPS.

To create my night sky I used Tim Holtz distress ink Salty Ocean, Broken Chin and Fade Jeans.

Your Next Stamp Sketch & Colour Challenge #3

I hope you are enjoying the new challenges over at Your Next Stamp. We are excited to be sharing our challenge #3 which includes a fabulous sketch and gorgeous colour inspiration.

This week I used both the colour inspiration and the sketch along with Ellie Love Hot Cocoa to create my card. You may have noticed that I like to change up my sketches. It's great to take a sketch and make it your own. For this fun sketch I flipped it on it's side and changed some of the circle shapes.

Here is a look at the inside of the card.

Now grab your stamps and play along with our current challenge at Your Next Stamp. There are prizes, special features and maybe a guest design spot. You can see all of the challenge details here. We always love seeing what you do with YNS images, but you can use other stamps for these challenges.

Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog to check out our challenge!

Have a fabulous day!

Little Red Wagon # 266 - Things with Wings

Can you believe it's December? I am freaking out just a bit. My shopping is almost done and most of my Christmas cards are made.....well the ones for the people worthy of the handmade ones anyway. Unfortunately work is SUPER stressful at the moment as I am trying to write lengthy reviews for my staff. Oh I wish I could have longer days to get it all done!

Anyway enough about my stress........this week's fabulous LITTLE RED WAGON challenge is brought to you by Joanne she looking for THINGS WITH WINGS! I don't think I need to explain that one to you right?

My winged thing this week is the sweet fairy TILLY. She is a rubber stamp by Saturated Canary. As I am still finishing up my holiday cards, I turned her into a sweet Christmas Fairy. This card is all CAS. The sentiment is from the Santa Express Train Carts set from Your Next Stamp.

The inside sentiment is also from Your Next Stamp Winter Home stamp set.

Fly over to the Little Red Wagon blog to link up your project and of course to see what the fabulous Girlfriends are all sharing for this week's challenge.

Did you know that we are having a Design Team call? You have until December 15th to apply. All of the details are here.

Have a fabulous day!
