Kraftin Kimmie Stamp 2000+ Celebration

It's party time!

That's right, today we are celebrating over at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS. Why?

Did you know that the FABULOUS Miss Kimmie is celebrating a birthday soon? In addition to her birthday, we are also celebrating reaching over 2000+ Krafty Friends at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Krafty Friends Facebook group.

We are celebrating this weekend with a FUN on-line KROP. Through out the day, some of the Krafty Girls will be posting challenges for you to enjoy. Each challenge includes a sketch plus and extra theme or element that we would like to see you try. Use both the sketch and the bonus, and you will have TWO chances to WIN. You MUST use at least the sketch for each challenge. There is Krafty Ka$h for you to win. You have all week to play along with these challenges, so grab your stamps and let's get inky!

I am kicking things off with the FIRST sketch challenge of the day! I love my layers so, of course my sketch allows for lots of those. Sketches are a source of inspiration....a start off point for you to work with. You can stick with the sketch exactly as is, or play around and add your personal touch, as long as the basic sketch layout can be seen.

BONUS CHALLENGE: Distressing!

I created a Valentine's card using the Moonlight Whispers image ROCKER CHICK!

I love distressing and you can achieve that worn and rough look from inking the edges of your paper, my favourite distress ink colour is Vintage photo.

For the frayed look on your paper you can use a distress tool, sand paper, scissors or your finger nails. Each tool gives a slightly different look and level of distress.

Finally, one of my go to distress looks, is ripping portions of my paper. I love to create rips, tears and folded edges to reveal fun embellishments or show a peek of coordinating pattern paper.

For my card today, I incorporated all three types of distressing.

Inside my card I used a sentiment from the It's a Beautiful day stamp set (by Cheryl Grant) and added a heart from the Candy Heart set (which, while supplies last, is one set available FREE when you spend $50+ on your KKS purchase this weekend. The other set available is Love Birds).

Of course the celebration weekend would not be complete with our a ROCKIN' sale.

Kimmie is turning 44 years (young), so she has chosen 44 fabulous stamp sets to put on SALE for 44% off. The sale is for this weekend only, so you will want to grab them during this amazing sale! Please do not use any additional coupon codes with this weekend sale.

Head over to our Krafty Friends Facebook page and join in with our FUN on-line krop. Remember to wish Miss Kimmie a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

The next challenge hostess will be Krafty Girl Christine.

Have a super KRAFTY weekend friends!

Your Next Stamps Sketch/Colour Challenge # 6

It's once again time for another FUN FRIDAY challenge at YOUR NEXT STAMP!

Twice each month we offer you a new challenge that features a SKETCH

or COLOUR inspiration.

You can play along with either the sketch, colour of combine both together for an added challenge.

This week I played around with the fun sketch using the PERFECT CHEMISTRY stamp and die set. You will see the sketch design in the file folder behind our cute cute scientist. I just love sketches and finding ways to add my own flair.

To create the file folder I used the FILE TAB die on kraft cardstock. I folded the cardstock in half and added lined pattern paper for those secret chemistry notes. I decorated the folder with Doodlebug Love Bug paper and added stitching with the STITCHED LINE die. For a touch of sparkle and shine you will see the yummy Red CANDY APPLE RED GLITTERED GUMDROPS.

Of course the card would not be complete without a decorated inside.

You have until February 5th (midnight) to play along with challenge # 6. You can see more inspiration and link up your project over at Your Next Stamp.

One random participant will WIN a $15 gift card to the YNS store. However, if you feature a YNS stamp or die (must be the main focal point) you will receive and additional $5. Oh yeah! When you use a YNS image there is also a chance of being selected as a YNS Top Pick. That's right, bragging rights for you and a fabulous badge to show off on your blog! Sounds exciting right? Ink up your stamps and show us your crafty stuff!

Have a fabulous and crafty Friday friends!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps & LIttle Red Wagon (Winter Blues)

It is that fabulous day of the week! Not only have we reached the half way point of the work week. Oh yeah, that weekend is so close! But, it's also time for TWO fabulous challenges. That's right I am duel hosting this week.

The Wonderful Wednesday challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is ANYTHING GOES. That's pretty easy. Create a new card, layout or altered item and share it with us over at the KKS blog or our Facebook group (here). You can see all the challenge details over on the blog.

I am  also challenge hostess at LITTLE RED WAGON! My theme for this week's challenge is called WINTER BLUES. Show me winter or lots of blue. Your choice, I'm not picky! You can even show me winter with lots of blue. That's not too difficult right?

Did you know that we also have a new Facebook group for LRW (here). We would love for you to check out.

This week, my card features an image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps called Cuddle up and Keep Warm.  I just love the rich colours in the Bo Bunny Altitude collection. I matted the paper with navy and teal card stock and inked all the edges for a distressed look.

I added additional blues in my Copic coloured image and embellished with blue brads, eyelets (finally got those worked into a card) and blue twine.

Finally a peek at the inside of the card.

I hope that you are staying warm! Maybe passing the time (like me) and getting creative. Why not get crafty and play along with one or both of these FUN challenge.

The Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Wonderful Wednesday challenge is ANYTHING GOES and the Little Red Wagon challenge is called WINTER BLUES. Show us what you've got. Remember to check out my fellow DT peeps for at KKS and LRW. There is oodles of inspiration to be seen!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great Wednesday.

The Paper Nest Dolls (Guest) and Little Red Wagon

Today is a great day as we welcome another fun challenge at Little Red Wagon.

I am also so excited because I am a guest today over at The Paper Nest Dolls blog. I just adore these images and was so excited to be asked to create a few projects.

Today, Janice is hosting our Little Red Wagon challenge and she is expecting a bit of silence. You know Shhhhhhhhhhh! So what does that mean for this week's challenge? It means, your project should be free of words or text of any kinds. Now that's a challenge!

Since I usually have sentiments on my cards, I decided instead to make another note holder. This one is created using Fairest of Them All from the Paper Nest Dolls. The paper is Simple Stories Good Day Sunshine.

Since this image is related to a fairytale story, I created a little book to decorate the note holder. The pages of the book are inked and popped up with dimensional adhesive.

This fair cutie is coloured with Copic markers. I added a touch of glitter to part of her dress and her red shoes.

Here is a look of the back of the note holder.

And, when the note holder is close.

If you are the strong silent type.....or just any type that likes to get creative with paper, join this week's Shhhhhh! Challenge at Little Red Wagon. Each of the Girlfriends are sharing a bit of inspiration for this week's challenge, so remember to check it out.

While you are checking out inspiration, you really should take a peek at the adorable images over in The Paper Nest Doll shop. So many sweet image. I especially love the newest fairytale images. The amazing DT also has a lot of great creations which you can see on blog for The Paper Nest Dolls.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fabulous and crafty day!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps January Release Blog Hop

Welcome back for our KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS January release BLOG HOP!

Today the Krafty Girls and our AMAZING guests are here to share some inspiration with all of the fabulous stamps we have been previewing over the last weeks. This month's release is truly BEAUTIFUL so I hope you enjoy today's hop!

This week we started off the release and welcomed back the talented Emilie Goulet with her preview set YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.

Next I am sure you were ALL STEAMED UP for the newest Moonlight Whispers sets from Annie. This steampunk inspired set will surely get your creativity in gear!

Then we previewed a cute set from Cheryl Grant featuring those sweet kids Lulu, Lexi and Lucas. IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY is sweet and will be the highlight of many cards.

Finally, we added a second SENTIMENT set from our new (stamp) designer Becky. The WORDS OF INSPIRATION are just that, truly inspirational. The large size sentiments are great on their own or complement so many of the Kraftin' Kimmie images.

For my card today I used sweet Lulu from IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY and combined this with a sentiment from WORDS OF INSPIRATION. I had a couple CAS cards to show off this week, so it was time to go back to my layers, distressing and embellishments.

I used paper from Simple Stories Homespun and added a Maya Road photo frame and flowers and metal embellishments from Michaels.

Although it is hard to tell from the picture, I actually paper pieced this picture in three layers. I didn't want height so I didn't add the dimensional adhesive. The first layer is my background window frame and inside wall. The next layer is the branch and Lulu. The final layer is the cat and bird sitting on the window ledge. Just a subtle bit of depth to the picture.

A look at the inside of the card.

Now it's time for you to continue your hop to check out more amazing creations from my Krafty Peeps! Remember to leave comments are you are hopping along, because Kimmie has a $10 gift card to give away to a random Krafty Friend.

All of the stamps are now available in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps shop. You will find the new releases, past releases, paper, embellishments, mounting supplies. Check it out. If you love all of this month's release, Kimmie has a great Gimmie Kimmies Kit that you may want to check out.

Have a wonderful and KRAFTY day!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Preview - Words of Inspiration

I am so excited that we are still previewing for the January release over at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS. That's right, we have so much KRAFTY goodness this month. I hope you are lovin' it just as much as I am!

Do you love big beautiful sentiments? I do. Today we are showing off a new and FABULOUS sentiment set, from the talented and creative BECKY PEARCE. This amazing set is called WORDS OF INSPIRATION.

Not only is it a preview day, it is also time for this week's NEW challenge. Krafty Girl Jenny is hosting and I am sure it is no surprise that our challenge theme is, ANYTHING GOES. That's right, create a new card, layout or altered project and play along with our challenge for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate for the store. Any stamps are welcome, however we love when you show off your KKS. Using a KKS will double your chances with winning.

I love sentiments and it has been a lot of fun to challenge myself to create a card just using the sentiment. There are a classic look to these cards and they are perfect for a lot of occasions. This sentiments is my favourite from this set and of course I embellished with a key. I am lovin' the metal lately and have been using it on a lot of my cards. Keys, hearts, gears, tags....love me a little heavy metal.

I used paper from We R Memory Keepers Love Notes (which Kimmie has in the shop). I love the pink splatters on the paper in this collection and I recreated that look on my sentiment using Worn Lipstick Distress ink (watered down). I used a paint bush and flicked some spots and dabbed the brush to the paper in other areas for the larger dots. I also distressed the key (Michaels) using pink Distress Paint.

Here is the inside of the card with another of the sentiments from this set. Most of my favourite sentiment stamps sit on my craft desk because they will be used at least on the inside of my card.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to leave a little comment and then check out all of the Krafty Girls sharing inspiration for today's preview. Kimmie will have a lovely prize for a random Krafty Friend that leaves a comment. I am sure you would love to win some Krafty $ to do a little shopping!

You could win more prizes at the party and you can hang out with Kimmie and the Krafty Girls. After the party, you can SHOP, SHOP and SHOP!

Your Next Stamp Skecth/Colour Challenge #5

It's time for another FUN FRIDAY challenge at YOUR NEXT STAMP.

Twice each month you will see a new challenge that features a fun sketch,

and some colours to inspire.

You can play along with either the sketch or colour challenge. Or if you are really up for a challenge try doing both.

This week I focused on the fabulous sketch. I wanted to make a Valentines card and I really didn't have much in the way of blues and greys for paper. The sketch was so fun and worked really well to create a simple card featuring a die this week. That's right my second card of the week with NO colouring.

On my card I used the new KEY TO MY HEART die. The gorgeous paper is Bella Rouge from Pink Paislee.

To create the element along the side of the card, I trimmed the top of my card base down 0.5" and added the decorative paper to the inside. I really love the black card stock with the pinks in this paper collection.

To show case the key die, I used the Journal Card Bracket Die on the pattern paper, the matted that on the black cardstock. The outside sentiment is from the Ellie Loves Sunflowers stamp set.

I love to decorate the inside of my cards. That way they are ready to go when I need them. I love sentiment sets and YNS has so many great one (here). This one is amazing and is called Whatnot Sentiments Three.

You have until January 22 (midnight) to play along with challenge # 5.

That's right, bragging rights for you and a fabulous badge to show off! Sounds exciting right? Ink up your stamps and show us your crafty stuff!

Have a fabulous and crafty Friday friends!
