Kraftin' Kimmie # 245 - Ships Ahoy/Water

Happy Saturday everyone. For some of us this is a long weekend so I know that means extra KRAFTY time for me!

Today on the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge blog we are having another fun challenge. This week Krafty Girl Becky is our host and her theme for this week is SHIPS AHOY/WATER!

Wanna play along? You have a chance to win a $10 gift card to the KK shop! Show us your stuff by creating a new card, scrapbook page or altered item. We'd love to see you use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp, however you can use any stamp that works for this theme. Grab you stamps and let's get KRAFTY!

Since I am in denial about this being the end of summer, I decided to go totally beachy with my card using the sweet Lulu from Totally Tubular. This set is currently on sale in the shop. Lulu is my absolute fav!

I had a lot of fun creating a fun beach scene using kraft card stock. I was able to use my Cricut (Simply Charmed) for the beach ball and bucket. The towel is coloured burlap rolled up (glued to keep it closed) and tied with a bow.

Inside the card I added the image of Lucas with one of this sets fun sentiments.

Head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie blog and check out the amazing and inspiring projects created by the Krafty Girls and Guests this week.

You can also check out all of this weeks Frugal Friday Special currently in the shop. You will find a lot of fabulous stamp sets on sale at 25-50% off. There are also a lot of amazing new 6x6 paper pads in the store. Check it out.

Thanks for dropping in and have a Super Saturday!

Your Next Stamp Fun Friday Challenge

Time for another FUN FRIDAY challenge over at the Your Next Stamp Challenge Blog!

This week I was inspired by colours in the INSPIRATIONAL photo. I created a clean and simple (CAS) card because I really wanted to showcase the amazing Darling Diva Jade.

The lovely Jade is coloured with Copic markers. Getting the right look with black is always a challenge, however I think it turned out pretty well.

I love the sentiments with the set, so of course it's a lot of fun to use them on the card inside and out.

Head over the challenge blog to check out all of the details about this months challenge. Link up your project and you could be a YNS top pick, win a YNS gift certificate or the chance to be a guest designer. Check it out!

Have a fabulous Friday and happy crafting.

Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Welcome back to my second post.

Today over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps it's time for another WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY challenge. These are great challenges because our Wednesday challenges are ANYTHING goes! Join us this week and get Krafty with your favourite Kraftin' Kimmie stamps.

Of course we do want everyone to play along with these challenges, so you are welcome to use any stamp you choose. Just make sure you are playing along by creating a NEW card, layout or altered item. You can enter your creation over at the Wonderful Wednesday post on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge blog.

If playing along with the challenges wasn't fun enough at the end of the month one random winner will be chosen from all of the months Wonderful Wednesday submissions and they will receive a $20 gift card for the KK shop! That's worth playing for so let's get Krafty!

For my card this week, I used one of the images from the fun GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN stamp set.

To add a bit of girly bling, I added a wooden button from Maya Road covered with glitter. To do this I covered the button with teal ink and then ran it through my Xyron sticker maker. I then applied my favourite Glitter Ritz Micro fine glitter. The transparent (Cool Highlights) glitter is great because you can use any colour underneath. You can get many colours with just one bottle of glitter. I love this stuff!!! The paper on the card is from Doodlebug (Sugar Shoppe) which is available in the KK shop.

Thanks for dropping in today. Head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge blog to check out more inspiration from the other Krafty Girls.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday and get Krafty!

Little Red Wagon # 252 Girl Power

Welcome back, I hope you are having a wonderful week so far. It's time for another fun challenge over at Little Red Wagon.

This week I am hosting and my challenge is called GIRL POWER!

I think with this challenge there will be a lot of room for interpretation. Whether you choose pink, frills, bling, distress, grungy, classy..........I think you get the idea. Make a new paper craft project (card, layout, altered item) that is for a girl, featuring a girl, about a girl. GOT IT!

For my card, my GIRL POWER is all about the SMART GIRL. I used a sweet digital stamp from Tiddly Inks called School Girl. I was inspired by my young daughter as she has been reading up a storm this summer. I am likely underestimating, however I would say she has read close to 12 books in the last 2 months.

The paper is from Simple Stories (Homespun). I distressed the edges with a distress tool and inked everything with Tim Holtz Vintage photo distress ink. I love using tags on my cards and layouts. I love these new Crate Paper Notes & Things tags. There are a few that have die cut words as the one used on my card.

Inside the card I used stamps from Kaiser Craft (Live Life) and My Favorite Things (It's a Sign). This card will be going to one of my students at work that will be returning to school.

Are you ready to show a little GIRL POWER! Join our challenge this week over at the Little Red Wagon blog. Don't forget to check out all of the inspiration the other Girlfriends are sharing.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday and happy crafting.

Little Red Wagon # 251 - Confetti

Welcome back for another fun challenge over at Little Red Wagon. This week Jayne is hosting and she is challenging us to use CONFETTI on our creations!

Today I am using sequins to create my confetti. I have lots sequins in my stash but I struggle to use this fun embellishment.

I kept my background white to show off my sequins and ran the background paper through my Cuttlebug using one of my favourite embossing folders (Cricut Spots & Dots).

I die cut the HELLO (MFT) from card stock that coordinated with the sequin from Studio Calico.

Thank you for dropping in and I hope that you will play along with this week's CONFETTI challenge at Little Red Wagon. Link up your projects at the blog and while you are there check out the projects by the other Girlfriends.

Have a fabulous and crafty day!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps August Release Blog Hop

I have been having a great time as a Krafty Guest this month. I really hope that you have been enjoying all of the projects for the August release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I think I am officially excited for Halloween and I may just get a bit of a head start on some cards, decorations and treat containers.

Today we are back with a Kraft Blog Hop to celebrate this amazing new release. Join the Krafty Girls and Guests as we share and hopefully inspire you with these amazing NEW stamps. This week we have previewed a lot of SPOOKTACULAR stamps from all of the talents artists. There is an adorable new fall kids set from Cheryl called HEY THERE, PUNKIN'! There's a new set of fabulous trick or treaters from Thais called CANDY CORN KISSES! And of course, there are TWO new WICKED stamp sets from Annie called....DRAGON QUEEN and VAMPIRE QUEEN!

I am excited to share my card with you for today's release BLOG HOP. I love the CANDY CORN KISSES stamp set and created a card with the BOO-tiful Frankenstein's Bride! I wanted to show Halloween is not only about the orange and black and decided to make PINK the new orange for the upcoming fall season! The paper if from a fabulous Carta Bella set called Paris Girl.

My lil' trick or treater is heading out for her candy in style. The image is coloured with Copic markers and I gave her green boots a bit of flair by adding micro fine glitter from Glitter Ritz. To add a bit of ambiance I die cut the chandelier (Cricut Pretty Pennants) out of black card stock then painted it with Tim Holtz distress paint (brushed pewter). The die cut around the image is also a Cricut cut (Elegant Edges). Of course it wouldn't be complete without a few lovely flowers (Recollections) and the cheesecloth. Who knew a simple kitchen item could work so well on a card.

Of course I have also decorated the inside of my card adding a couple of the sentiments from the Candy Corn Kisses set, paper pennants and my first chandelier (which was a bit too big for the front of the card).

Now it's time to continue hoppin' along and checking out the other FANG-TASTIC creations by the rest of the BOO-tiful Krafty Girls and Guests. Remember to leave a comment on each of the blogs on this hop because some lucky stamper will win a $25 gift card!!!

After you are done the HOPPIN' then head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Shop where you can do a bit of SHOPPIN'. All of the new images are now available! If you just have to have all of the stamps from this new release (you know you want 'em) check out the Gimmie Kimmie Kits which feature all of the new August stamps at a discount price! These kits are limited time only.

Have a super sweet Sunday and happy hopping' (and shoppin').

Today we are back with day 3 of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps August new release previews. Today we are featuring a sweet treat and these are images from the artist Thais Narciso. This fun set is call CANDY CORN KISSES!

Remember to show off your Krafty designs over at the KKS blog. If you play along you have a chance to WIN a $10 gift certificate to use in the shop!

On my card today I am featuring our sweet Frankenstein as he heads out to score some candy.

I used Halloween paper from K & Company and created the candy filled bag by cutting down to size a brown paper bag. The mini paper bag was crinkled it up a bit, distressing with brown ink and then twine was added for the handles. As for the candy, well those are actual pieces of candy bar wrappers. Yummy. The things I do in the name of creativity! The black stars are Doodlebug and the fence die is from Your Next Stamp.

Of course the inside is decorated also. I love the sentiments with this set and I was able to use 3 of the 9 on my card.

Today I worked with the biting beauty VAMPIRE QUEEN!

Do you enjoy creating Halloween themed projects? I do for sure! I love creating Halloween cards and projects and the Vampire queen is truly FANG-TASTIC and fun to work with!

To create that spooky feel for my card, I used paper from We R Memory Keepers Black Widow collection along with flowers (Recollections) and the fun key and keyhole charms (Beading Landing). Everything was distress and inked with vintage photo distress ink. Cheese cloth was a perfect accent and this time I used a bit of water down black paint to grunge up the cloth.

Your Next Stamp - Fun Friday!

Today I am please to be sharing my first Fun Friday post for Your Next Stamp.

You can find all of the details about the YNS Fun Friday challenges on the challenge blog. Each month you will see a new sketch

or photo inspiration

You can use one, both (just not neither ha ha) and create a project to share at YNS.

I used Dance Fhiona and created a card inspired by both the sketch and the colours from the inspirational photo. I love purple, however purple paper seems to be a rare item in my collection. I was very lucky to have found this paper collection from Wild Rose Studio (Bella). It goes so well with the sweet Fhiona!

The image is coloured with Copic Markers. I added a small amount of Glitter Ritz fine glitter to the heart.

Inside my card I was able to use some of my scraps of patterned paper and card stock. I added a portion of the adorable Fhiona image and this beautiful sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will create a project to join in using this months sketch or inspirational photo. You could win a $20 YNS gift certificate.  Please check out the current challenge over at the Your Next Stamp challenge blog.

Come back soon and have a FUN FRIDAY!!!
