Welcome to our sketch and colour challenge #23 at Your Next Stamp. Each challenge includes a sketch and colour options to inspire you.
Create
a project based on the sketch and/or the colour combination. If you are
working with the colours use at least 3 of the colours and you can add
only neutrals.
Sketches are a great source of inspiration. When I use a sketch, unless I am really stuck, I try to challenge myself to make that sketch my own. Whether is using different shapes, images or orientations, sketches are so much fun.
For this challenge I used the sketch with only a few of my personal alterations. I inked up the super cute Hammie Coffee and Tea cutting the image out using the matching die. I then add a little splatter using the Mini Ink Splatter.
The paper is Basic Grey Hipster. I really love the already distressed look of this paper. It works well for a coffee themed card.
Here is a look at the inside of the card.
Supplies Used:
Stamp: Hammie Coffee and Tea and Mini Ink Splatter (Your Next Stamp)
Dies: Hammie Coffee and Tea, Circle (Your Next Stamp)
Paper: Basic Grey Hipster
For
our sketch and colour challenge # 23 you have until October 1, 2015
(midnight) to play along. You can see more inspiration and link up your
projects over at Your Next Stamp.
One random participant will WIN a $15 gift card to the YNS store.
If you feature a YNS stamp or die (must be the main focal point) you
will receive and additional $5. When you use a YNS image there is also a
chance of being selected as a YNS Top Pick. That's right, bragging
rights for you and a fabulous badge to show off on your blog! Sounds
exciting right? Ink up your stamps and show us your crafty stuff!
Have a fabulous and crafty Friday friends!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Holiday Scrappy Challenge!
Hello Krafty Friends!
I am excited to share a fun project for our new KRAFTY SCRAPPIN' challenges at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.
These challenges are a lot of fun and give you the chance to use your stamps in different ways. Your creations can be ANYTHING you would like to create but NOT a card! That leaves a lot of room for creativity, including calendar, planner pages, bookmarks, pocket pages and traditional scrapbook pages. You MUST use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp for this challenge! You have all month to play along, so grab some stamps, pictures and let's get KRAFTY!
This month our challenge theme is HOLIDAYS!
I love traditional scrapbooking. My husband is our family photographer and I always find he takes so many amazing pictures, that I can never decide which ones to use. To avoid getting too many pages for my layouts, I like to combine my traditional scrapbook page, along with a pocket page or two.
I created this layout a while back, however I am not sure I ever shared it on my blog. For this challenge, I added a pocket page for my 4x6 photos and created a few journaling cards.
I loved the Simple Stories December Documented Collection. I tried to made my 12x12 page look a little like my baking area after I have been busy.
I created two journal cards for my page and used one of the lovely 4x6 cards that are part of the December Documented collection.
The first journaling card includes a sentiment from the September release Magic of Christmas sentiment set. I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.
For my second journaling card, I used the Made By Elves set, colouring up the sweet baker elf. I included on this journal card one of my favourite treats which I make for my family every year.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you take a little time over the next month to join our HOLIDAY themed SCRAPPY challenge.
Here is a little reminder about KRAFTY SCRAPPIN' challenges:
1. Create any scrap page, project life layout or pocket page cards, altered item etc. Just NOT a CARD!
2. MUST use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp to be entered into the drawing.
3. You have a month to play. Enter as many times as you like.
4. Prizes!!!! Once we have reached 5 entries, we will draw a random winner.
5. You have until Monday October 19th @ 9:00 EST to enter.
6. Share your Krafty creations in our Krafty Friends Facebook group.
Have a fabulous and SCRAPPY day!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Preview: Day Two - Angel Voices
It's time for day TWO of our September previews for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.
Aren't the new CLEAR stamps absolutely AMAZING!!! Today we have a super sweet set from artist Cheryl Grant called ANGEL VOICES. This angelic set features the darling Lulu, Lexi and Lucas carolling along with some fun furry friends.
For my card today, I inked and coloured up the sweet little Lexi. I also got a little messy with my distress ink and embossing powder.
This time I planned ahead and after stamping my image, I masked it with masking paper. I then stamped my snowflakes and heat embossed with white embossing powder. With the masking paper still covering my image, I grabbed my distress ink (Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans) to create my night sky.
For my snow I used glossy accents and Glamour Dust. For the inside of the card I used another of the fabulous sentiments from the newly previewed Magic of Christmas sentiment set.
Now it's time for your to hop along and check out all of the fabulous projects from all of the Krafty Girls. Leave a comment on each of the blogs as you hop along. There will be one lucky winner selected from all of the comments this week to WIN some Krafty $ to spend in the KKS store.

Your Next Stamp Colour/Sketch Challenge # 22
Welcome to our sketch and colour challenge #22 at Your Next Stamp. Each challenge includes a sketch and colour options to inspire you.
Create a project based on the sketch and/or the colour combination. If you are working with the colours use at least 3 of the colours and you can add only neutrals.
This month I worked with both the sketch and the colours using the Love & Smiles stamp and die set.
I had fun with the sketch flipping the image around. My panel is on the bottom of my card and I cut everything on a slight angle. I used the Air Mail die to create a fun border and cut a strip of paper using the Scrapworks Strips dies instead of a ribbon or twine.
Supplies Used:
Stamps:Love & Smiles Stamps
Dies: Love & Smiles Dies, Scrapworks Strips Dies, Air Mail Dies, Stitched Square Dies
Paper: Penny Black Gentle Whisper
For our sketch and colour challenge # 22 you have until September 17, 2015 (midnight) to play along. You can see more inspiration and link up your projects over at Your Next Stamp.
One random participant will WIN a $15 gift card to the YNS store. If you feature a YNS stamp or die (must be the main focal point) you will receive and additional $5. When you use a YNS image there is also a chance of being selected as a YNS Top Pick. That's right, bragging rights for you and a fabulous badge to show off on your blog! Sounds exciting right? Ink up your stamps and show us your crafty stuff!

Your Next Stamp September DT Dare
This month at YOUR NEXT STAMP, our Design Team (DT) Dare challenge is called ABC. That means we were given the challenge to create Anything But a Card!
When this challenge comes up, I do have a few "go to" projects that I like to use. Note pad holders, book marks, scrapbook pages and gift boxes are all great options. Having so many fabulous Halloween stamps and dies, this month I decided to create a gift box. This will go as a gift to one of my daughter's teachers this year. It's so nice to be ahead of schedule on a few things.
I inked up mummy Waddles from the WADDLES TRICK OF TREAT to decorate my 4x4 Halloween treat box.
I have done a few gift boxes in a variety of sizes. They are easy to make, and work for all seasons and occasions. I decorated this box using paper from Jillibean Soup Owloween Stew collection.
Measurements for a 4 x 4 x 1.5 inch box:
Box Base: 7 inches square scored at 1.5 inches on all sides
Lid: the cardstock for the lid will measure 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch large than the piece cut for the bottom of the box. Score again 1.5 inches on all sides.
Just load up the box with a few goodies and it's all ready for your child's teach, a coworkers or friend.
Here is a closer look a sweet mummy Waddles. I used the Waddles Trick or Treat die set to cut out the image. I also added a few of the new gumdrops called Candy Corn and Spellbound.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: WADDLES TRICK OF TREAT
Dies: Waddles Trick or Treat, Stitched Square Die
Paper: Jillibean Soup Owloween Stew
Other: Candy Corn and Spellbound Gumdrops
Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog and check out the DT DARE post for this month. Comment on the post for a chance to WIN a prize. You will also see more amazing creations from my fellow YNS DT girls.
Have a wonderful and crafty day!
