Your Next Stamp - August (BIRTHDAY) Release!

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Your Next Stamp, happy birthday to you!!!!

This month is a great month for birthday celebrations! I celebrated my birthday earlier this week and now we are celebrating the 8th birthday for Your Next Stamp! It's also time to share the new August released stamps and dies, so there are a lot of reason to be happy and celebrating right now.

Today we have an amazing blog hop to showcase so many fabulous stamps, dies, gumdrops and paper! This month I am re-joining the YNS team as one of the guests for birthday hop celebration. I know, I haven't been away from the team too long, but I couldn't miss out on a great party! Your Next Stamp DT Dare Square Cards (Create a Christmas Tree)

It's again time for the October Your Next Stamp Design Team Dare Challenge. Each month the design team is given a special challenge to help show off the new release stamps and dies.

This month as we see fall just around the corner our YNS DT Dare theme is......making it SQUARE!

For this release I made a few smaller size Christmas cards and I really found them fun, quick and easy. So easy, that I tried to make 3 or 4 similar cards. This will help towards getting enough cards made in time for Christmas. This fun card features the Create a Christmas Tree die set, along with the Stitched Square and Circle Die.

This fun die set also comes with little stars you could add to decorate the tree. I also considered adding a few delicious Gumdrops, however since I would like to mail the cards, I wanted to keep the bulk down.

The sentiment on the card is from the Holiday Reindeer stamp set.

Your Next Stamp - Sketch/Colour Challenge # 12

Welcome sketch and colour challenge #12 at Your Next Stamp. Twice each month there will be a new sketch or colour inspiration for you to play along with.

I played along with the sketch, although looking at my card now, I do see a couple of the fun colours for that side of the challenge too. I used a number of stamps and dies on my card this month. Can you spot them all?

I used the following on my card:

• Word Critters Spring Birds
• Stripe-tastic Rectangle die, cut twice and glued together to look like lattice 
• Fun with Squares die, cut and backed with clear plastic (crafty recycling) to look like a window
• Stitching Mark Circle Die
• Circle Die
• White Gumdrops (enamel dots)

The paper is from Kaiser Craft Spring Bloom collection.
