Your Next Stamp Sketch/Colour Challenge # 48 (Funny Farm Crew Bookmark)

Hello and welcome to another week of the Your Next Stamp sketch/colour challenge #48.

Every two weeks, there is a new challenge that features a sketch and colour inspiration. Pick the one that inspires you most, or try both for an added challenge. The best part of these challenges is you could win a gift certificate to the YNS store!

When using the colour inspiration, you must use at least 3 colours. You may also add neutrals

This week I am on a bit of a bookmark making kick. I used the sketch design for the inspiration in creating this bookmark, featuring the Funny Farm Crew stamp. The Bookmark/Tag die is one of my most used because I love to gift handmade bookmarks to all my book loving family and friends. The die on the bookmark is from the Halloween Witch Die set, released earlier this month.

Who wouldn't love this darling cow marking the place in their current book?

For the sketch/colour challenge # 48, you will have until Thursday September 29th (midnight EST) to play along. Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog for more inspiration and to link up your creation.

One random participant will win a $15 gift card to the YNS store. If you feature YNS products (it must be the main focus of your project), you will receive an additional $5. When you use a YNS stamp/die, there is a chance of being selected as the YNS top pick. The winner and top pick are announced on the YNS blog, the Sunday after the close of the challenge.

If you use YNS products on your project, you can also take part in the YNS Social Media challenge. Simply showcase your YNS sketch/colour challenge #48 project on Instagram, Splitcoast Stampers or Facebook. Check out the currently challenge post at the YNS blog for more details on the social media challenge.

Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Your Next Stamp September Feature - Spooky/Scary (Fang-tastic Halloween)

Welcome to the September Your Next Stamp feature post. Each month the design team uses specific stamps, dies or themes to create projects that will hopefully inspire you.

You will want to check out the feature post each month at the YNS blog because in addition to inspiration, there is also a chance to WIN a stamp set of your choice.

This month in preparation for Halloween our theme  is.........SPOOKY/SCARY!

As an avid reader what's scary for me is when someone dog-ears a book page! My solution, is to create and gift people with cute......I mean scary bookmarks! Using the my well loved Bookmark/Tag die, I created a Halloween themed bookmark featuring the Frankenstein stamp from Fang-tastic Halloween.

To create the sentiment on the bookmark I used a couple of different sets, included So Corny (Beware) and Silly Monsters (Monster). The word book, I used my Mini letter stamps.

The fun paper is Pebbles Trick or Treat. The bookmark die is easily my most used. I love making and giving bookmarks for gifts.

Head over to the YNS blog to see all of the Design Team members sharing projects for this month's feature. Leave a comment on the blog post for the September Feature and you will have a chance to win a prize. One lucky crafter will WIN a YNS stamp set of their choice.

As we head into fall, the leaves start to turn, the weather gets a little colder (except here where we have heat warnings) and everything turns pumpkin spiced! For this week's challenge, I had fun using the sketch for my inspiration. I used the Coffee and Tea Cup Stack die set. I love how you can mix and match fun patterns for the cups.

Your Next Stamp September New Release Hop

Welcome to the Your Next Stamp September release hop. Summer is over, kids are back to school (soon here) and it's time to dive into the fall and Halloween themes.

We have an amazing blog hop to showcase so many fabulous stamps, dies and another amazing paper pack! This month we have a number of talented guest joining us for our September release hop, so sit back, grab a beverage (pumpkin spiced latte perhaps) and maybe a pen and paper to joint down an item or two or three for your wish list.

For my first project, I created a simple card using the witch from the Spooktacular Halloween stamp and die set. I framed the image using the Stitch Square Frames and added a few Spellbound Gumdrops for added decoration.

YNS Products: Spooktacular Halloween Stamp and Die, Stitched Square Frames, Spellbound Gumdrops, Other: Doodlebug Ghouls and Goodies Paper

I am a planner girl. I recently switched over from a homemade printed planner, to using a Simple Stories Carpe Diem planner. I usually only stamp on my monthly view page, however this time I decided to stamp and decorate a rather busy week in September using the new Daily Planning and Kids Activity Planning stamps. It's a good way to keep organized and fun to sit down and work on a few months of my planner. It's also a great way to use some of your smaller stamps even if they aren't specific for planners. I like to use coloured ink to coordinate colours for the months, instead of colouring these tiny images.

As part of my planner page, I also created a planner dashboard page for a few chores my kids have. This will help me keep track of what has been done and note what "tech" time they will be allotted for the week. I think I will laminate the sheet so I can use it over again. This dashboard will hold details of chores for two kids, one on each side!

Thank you for joining us for our new release hop! I hope you found a little inspiration and maybe a few stamps or dies that you'd like to add to your YNS collection. As you are hoping along, we would love for you to leave a comment. There will be a $25 YNS gift certificates available to win, so the more blogs you visit, the greater your chances to win the prize!

Remember to also come back to the YNS blog on September 7th to check out the next Design Team Dare challenge.
