Your Next Stamp August DT Dare: Colour Me Happy (Party Pets)

I am excited to be joining in for this month's Your Next Stamp Design Team Dare Challenge for August.

Each month the design team is given a special challenge to help show off the new release stamps and dies. The challenge may be seasonal or technique bases, but whatever it may be, you will see a lot of fun projects.

This month our challenge theme is called COLOUR ME HAPPYThe team was left to interpret this how they wanted.

One of my favourite stamps for this month's release is the Party Pets. For me this challenge was all about showcasing the fun colours in the amazing Birthday Girl paper pad and the new Pretty Peacock Matte Gumdrops.

YNS Supplies Used: Party Pets, Circle Die, Stitched Circle Die, Stitched Rectangle die, Birthday Girl paper pad, Pretty Peacock Matte Gumdrops, Black Olive Ink

Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog and look for the August DT Dare post. Leave a comment on that post for the chance to WIN a stamp set of your choice!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Your Next Stamp - August (BIRTHDAY) Release!

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Your Next Stamp, happy birthday to you!!!!

This month is a great month for birthday celebrations! I celebrated my birthday earlier this week and now we are celebrating the 8th birthday for Your Next Stamp! It's also time to share the new August released stamps and dies, so there are a lot of reason to be happy and celebrating right now.

Today we have an amazing blog hop to showcase so many fabulous stamps, dies, gumdrops and paper! This month I am re-joining the YNS team as one of the guests for birthday hop celebration. I know, I haven't been away from the team too long, but I couldn't miss out on a great party! Sit back, grab a beverage; an iced caramel macchiato perhaps, and maybe a pen and paper to joint down an item or two or three for your wish list.

Here is a look at my birthday project featuring the Party Pets stamp! I am pretty sure I looked excited eating my birthday cake on Wednesday!

In celebration of this amazing birthday release, Karen is offer some wonderful deals!

Now a party, just wouldn't be a party without PRIZES and party GAMES!

This month there is an $80 YNS gift certificate up for grabs. Remember to comment on the blogs along this hop! The more blogs you visit and leave a comment for, the greater your chance is to WIN!

Party Game: This month there is a fun game and if you win you could end up with 10 packages of gumdrops! As you are hopping along our blog posts today, remember to count the gumdrops as you go! There will be a link at the end of this hop for you to enter your answer. I used a few of the new Nautical Matte gumdrops on my card above!

Thank you for joining us for our new release  BIRTHDAY hop! I hope you found a little inspiration and maybe a few stamps, dies, paper, ink.......that you'd like to add to your YNS collection.

Remember to also come back to the YNS blog on August 9th to check out the next Design Team Dare challenge. I will have another guest card to share there.

Have a great day and happy hopping!

Little Red Wagon #269 Happy Birthday

Happy Christmas Eve day crafty friends. Are you ready for Christmas? I finished my shopping on the weekend and spent a long time wrapping. I did have a bit of time to work on a quick card for this week's LITTLE RED WAGON challenge.

Jan is looking after the challenge for this week and it's an easy one......HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Create a new project that is birthday related.

For this weeks challenge I shifted away from Christmas/winter and I created a simple birthday card using "Big Birthday Wishes" from My Favorite Things. The paper is Pink Paislee Solstice.

For the added glitter to the balloons, I used Glitter Ritz Micro fine glitter on top of my Copic coloured balloons. I applied the glitter after using the Zig two way glue pen. Last time I used the glitter I had used Glossy accents. If you want the glitter with dimension, the Glossy accents are a good thing to use.

Here is a look at the inside of my card.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a bit of time this holiday season to play along with week's HAPPY BIRTHDAY challenge. Link up your projects at the LITTLE RED WAGON blog and remember to check out the inspiration the Girlfriends are also sharing.

Have a fabulous day and I wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
