This week Jodi is our challenge hostess and for this week she is asking us to show some TEACHER APPRECIATION. Create a card, tag or a creative gift to say thank you to a special teacher.
For some of you, your kids may already be enjoying their summer break. My children however still have another 13 days left of school. I know my kids are super excited about finishing school. Since I am still working most of the summer, what I am most excited about is 2 months of not having to make lunches! WHOO HOO!!!!!
For this weeks challenge I made a note holder for my oldest daughter's teacher. This is a remake of a project I made in April which was for my youngest daughter's teacher (see post here). This note holder features a super cute digital image from Sassy Cheryl's Stamps called BACKPACK MAX. The paper is We R Memory Keepers Hall Pass.
The holder fits 3x3 notes. The box for the notes was cut to 4 x 4 inches and scored a half inch on all sides. The base of the holder was cut at 4 x 11 and scored at 5.25, 5.75 and 8.25 inches.
Max is coloured with Copic markers. If you were looking to make this project for a female teacher you could use consider using Backpack Maddie.
I added a few faux stitching line on the base of my holder and stamped a pencil on each of the note pages.
Since this may sit on the teacher desk I decorated the back of the holder so it was nice to look at from all views. The sticker is also from the Hall Pass collections.
Join this week TEACHER APPRECIATION challenge over at LITTLE RED WAGON. Link up your projects over at the blog and while you are there check out the wonderful projects by the other GIRLFRIENDS. So much inspiration worthy of an A+!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful and crafty day!
