Your Next Stamp April DT Dare

This month has been one of my busiest for crafty things. Last week I was helping Karen in the Your Next Stamp booth at Scrapfest. This weekend, I am off with some friends for a much needed crafty retreat weekend.

This week we have been sharing projects for our April release for Your Next Stamp. Did you enjoy all the fun new stamps and dies? I just love the new Jessica with Happy Mail stamp, the Bookworms Rule! stamp and the new Large Bookmark Dies.

This month for our Design Team (DT) Dare our challenge was to create a project with a  feminine theme. That is definitely something I can manage, especially with the super cute Bookworms Rule! stamp. I love the Dr. Seuss sentiment with this set. Oh The Places You'll Go, is my favourite of his stories. It was a book I received from one of my managers (as an adult) when I started out as a team leader.

I used the Large Bookmark/tag die and created a removable bookmark for the front of the card. The Simple Stories Enchanted paper is perfect to help showcase this sentiment.

Inside the card I used the large Tear Away Tab die and the new Tear Away Tab Sentiment Two stamp set to create an interactive place for a special surprise!

A fun place for a gift card.

Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog and check out the DT DARE post for this month. Comment on the post for a chance to WIN a prize. You will also see more amazing creations from my fellow YNS DT girls.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps/Little Red Wagon (Travelogue)

Welcome friends. Today I have a dual post for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and Little Red Wagon.

Did you know the Wonderful Wednesday challenges at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps are ANYTHING GOES? We love when you use a KKS (and it doubles you chance for winning), however all stamps are welcome for these challenges. Just create a NEW card, layout or altered item and share with us over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog or in our Facebook group (here).

The challenge runs for the month and there is a new chance to enter each Wednesday. At the end of the month a random winner will be chosen from the submissions and received a $20 gift card to the shop. Definitely worth playing for right?

This week at Little Red Wagon,

Heather is our fab hostess and her challenge this week is called TRAVELOGUE. Now this one stumped me for a bit. Heather is looking for us to create a project inspired by another country. It seems like such a long time since I have travelled or had a vacation, so my travel mojo was lacking just a bit.

I have had this beautiful paper from MME (On the Bright Side) in my stash for a while. It has such a elegant and exotic feel that I knew I wanted to use it for this challenge. Of course when I got my hands on the amazing NATSUKO stamp, I knew I discovered my inspiration for this challenge.

Inside the card, I used the HELLO FRIEND sentiment stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

I hope that you find time to join our TRAVELOGUE challenge over at Little Red Wagon. While you are there stop over to the other Girlfriends blogs to see all of the inspiration they are sharing. Check out our Little Red Wagon Facebook group (here).

Your Next Stamp April Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Your Next Stamp April new release blog hop.

We are at the half way point of the month and I feel like this month is flying by me. It has been a busy month and I have been wearing a number of hats as mom, wife, boss, taxi driver, event planner, nurse, house keeper..........I really can go on. Today I am excited to be wearing my crafty hat and showing of a couple of projects for this months YNS release.

I am super excited about this first project. It's very clean and simple, but since it features another of my favourite things, I wanted the image to be centre stage. My first project is a bookmark created using the new BOOKWORMS RULE and the LARGE BOOKMARK die.

That pile of books is a common mess to be found in my house. Definitely one mess I don't mind having. I don't have a lot of time these days to read, however I am happy to see that my kids share the same love of reading.

Here is a look at the back of the bookmark. The paper is from Simple Stories Enchanted collection.

Stamps and Dies used:

For my second creation, I play around with a few dies and the TEAR AWAY SENTIMENTS TWO stamp set. I used the NOTEBOOK EDGE die and the TEAR AWAY SMALL die to create this fun interactive pull tab panel for a birthday card.

Under each of the pull tabs I added sentiments from the TEAR AWAY SENTIMENTS TWO stamp set.

Since I like to decorate the inside, I thought it was a great place for another tab using the TEAR AWAY TAB (MEDIUM) die.

To celebrate the April release, Karen is offering a super sweet deal!

Thanks for hopping along with us today. Remember to leave a comment on each of the blogs as you go. All of the blogs are listed below. The hop continues until April 17th at midnight. Come back and join us on April 18 to see winners from the blog hop comments and the latest challenge is the fun DESIGN TEAM DARE!

Have a great day, happy hopping!

Our next stamp set previewed was for the mysterious Moonlight Whispers images, LIFE IS A MASQUERADE.

This month our cute kids are featured in a fun set calls SWEET BIRTHDAY KIDS.

Finally, we featured a  fun and sassy set called A BIT SMART ASSY!

For my card today, I used the darling Lulu from the SWEET BIRTHDAY KIDS set. I kept this card clean and simple, using a few simple scraps from the Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe paper pad.

I hop you are enjoying all of the projects featured in our April Release blog hop. Remember to leave a comment on each of the blogs in the hop. One lucky Krafty stamper will win a gift card to the shop.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Preview: Day Four - A Bit Smart Assy!

Welcome back to day four of the April previews for Kraftin' Kimmie stamps. Today's set is an absolutely delicious set from artist Emilie Goulet.

Today we are excited to share A BIT SMART ASSY! Don't you just love that name!

Since it's Saturday and a release preview day, we are also excited to present a new ANYTHING GOES challenge. Create a new project (card, scrapbook page or altered item) and share it with us on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog. All stamps are welcome, however if you use a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp you will double your chance for the weekly prize of a $10 gift certificate to you in the shop.

I stepped away from making a card for today and thought this image would be perfect for a recipe book. I've had this chipboard ring album in my stash for years and it's nice to finally put it to use. I used Echo Park Made from Scratch and added a few cooking embellishments.

I will gather a few of my favourite baking recipes and make this a gift for someone.

Thanks for dropping in today and please remember to leave a comment, then head along the preview hop. All of the Krafty Girls and Guests are listed below. Comment on each of the blogs because Miss Kimmie is giving away Krafty $ to a lucky stamper.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Preview: Day Three - Sweet Birthday Kids!

It's time for day THREE of our April preview for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

Today we have a super sweet set from the amazing artist Cheryl Grant. This fabulous set is called SWEET BIRTHDAY KIDS! This birthday themed set features the cute and lovable Lulu, Lexi and Lucas along with a couple of their furry pets.

Since birthday cards are something I make most frequently, I am always excited to get new birthday stamps to play with. I just adore these cute birthday kids and created a card with the darling Lexi image.

The paper for the card is Doodlebug Designs, Sugar Shoppe.

For the inside, I used the darling Lulu image along with the sweet puppy and one of the great sentiments with this set.

Now it's time for you to check out the other Krafty Girls and our Guests who are sharing their projects featuring images from SWEET BIRTHDAY KIDS! As you are hopping along, remember to leave your comments. We would love to see you win a prize. That's right, hop, comment and one lucky krafty friend will win Krafty $ to spend in the shop!
