I have had a blast this week sharing projects for the May release at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS. Today we are back with a release day KRAFTY BLOG HOP! Join the Krafty Girls and guests (that's me) as we share and hopefully inspire you with these amazing NEW stamps!
This week we have previewed a lot of great images. We started the release off with the super cute nautical set from Cheryl Alger called AHOY, SAILOR. Then it was all about sun and sand with the Moonlight Whispers set by Annie Rodrigue called BEACHY KEEN. Last but certainly not least we were showing off the fun set by Thais Narciso called UNDER THE SEA!
I am excited to share my card with you for today's release BLOG HOP. I love the UNDER THE SEA stamp set and decided create another fun card.
For my card I went nautical, creating a fun porthole using two different size circle dies on white card stock. This was then adhered with dimensional adhesive over my coloured image. I created the banner by cutting up canvas material which I then glued to scrap paper to add a bit of strength. I tread the twine through the banner and around my porthole. The twine is tacked down in a few sections with small dot of Glossy Accents (love that stuff). The studs in the portholes are Jellies from Queen & Co. Candy Shoppe.
The image is coloured with Copic Markers and for the sky and water I used Tim Holtz Distress ink (salty ocean and peacock feathers). I flicked the bottom part of the image with a bit of water to create an interesting effect with the sea water.
To go with the nautical look I used a few more shells, star fish sticker, Tim Holtz spinner and yes more cheesecloth (this stuff is great). My sentiment is stamped on a self adhesive sheet of wood paper that I discovered in my stash. I used Stazon black in to stamp the sentiment.
Finally the inside of the card is finished off with more twine and Queen & Co. Glitter Studs. The sentiment is my favourite from this set.
Now it's time to continue hoppin' along and check out the inspiration by the rest of the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests. Remember to leave a comment at each of the blogs on this hop because some lucky stampers will win packages of these incredible stamps from the new release.
After you are done hoppin' be sure visit the Kraftin' Kimmie shop where all of these amazing images are available.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the HOPPIN' and SHOPPIN'!
