Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps & Little Red Wagon (You're A Star)

Welcome friends. Today I have a dual post for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and Little Red Wagon.

Did you know the Wonderful Wednesday at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps are ANYTHING GOES? Although we love when you use a KKS (and it doubles you chance for winning), all stamps are welcome for these challenges. Just create a NEW card, layout or altered item and share with us over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog or in our Facebook group (here).

The challenge runs for the month and there is a new change to enter each Wednesday. At the end of the month a random winner will be chosen from the submissions and received a $20 gift card to the shop. Definitely worth playing for right?

For an added bit of inspiration and additional chance to win, we have a sketch that we would love to see you work with. This is a look at the March sketch.

This week at Little Red Wagon,

Carolyn is hosting our challenge and it's called "YOU'RE A STAR". I would quite agree, however I am not sure she was specifically directing that at me. What Carolyn would like to see is you to work a star or stars into your project. Paper, shapes, die cuts, make sure we are seeing stars.

I got all sentimental on my card using a fabulous sentiment set called "HELLO FRIEND" from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I used white embossing powder to create a chalk look with the sentiment. In additional to the "Star" mentioned in my sentiment, I added 3 wooded stars.

If you are seeing stars this week, then join our challenge over at Little Red Wagon. While you are there stop over to the other Girlfriends blog to see all of the inspiration they are sharing. Did you know that we have a Little Red Wagon Facebook group (here). Check it out.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Birthday (No Blue or Pink)

Hello Krafty Friends. Did you have a great week? Me....I had a rather hectic week so I am very happy to say that it's now Saturday!

Now that the weekend is here, it's time for the latest challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Krafty Girl KELLI is our fab hostess and her challenge is BIRTHDAYS, with a bit of a twist. The twist is that you can't use pink or blue. This is not as easy as it sounds. I failed this challenge as there are two tiny dots of blue that I was not able to hide on my card. Maybe they can pass for grey!

Grab your stamps (all are welcome) and create a NEW card, layout or altered item to match this week's theme. You can share it with us on Krafty Friends Facebook in our group (here) or link up your blog post over at the Kraftin' Kimmie blog. You have all week to play along and there is a chance to WIN $10 gift card to the KKS shop. If you do use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your project, you will double your chance to win.

For my birthday card this week, I inked up Lucas as the Mad Hatter from the cute ONCE UPON A TIME 2 set. The paper is Simple Stories Say Cheese.

Inside the card, I included the image of Alice from this set and added a birthday sentiment from the MAKE A WISH set.

Grab you paper and stamps and play along with this week's BIRTHDAY (NO PINK OR BLUE) challenge. Head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog to see more about this week's challenge have look at some inspiration from my talented teammates.

Have you checked out the FRUGAL FRIDAY sales going on right now. There are dozens of stamps currently on sale, so you will want to check it out. The sale is only for the weekend.

Do you enjoy kits? Right now, you can preorder for the current Kraftin' Kimmie Coffee Card kit. There is an exclusive stamp, along with fun paper and coordinating embellishments. This is the second round of pre-orders, so don't wait too long. You can see samples of cards made with the kit here.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a super Saturday!

Little Red Wagon (All Tied Up)/The Paper Nest Dolls (Guest)

Hello crafty friends. I hope you are all have a wonderful week so far. Today it's time for new challenge at Little Red Wagon.

I am also super excited to be a Guest Designer at The Paper Nest Dolls again this month.

This week I am the challenge hostess at Little Red Wagon and I am getting things ALL TIED UP! That's right everyone! Grab your ribbon, thread, twine or cord and twist it, knot it or tied up all up in a nice little bow!

This month, I have been getting crafty with altered items. No, I did not make another notebook holder. Although there are more to come soon. This week I decorated a plain kraft paper bag using the sweet EGG COLORING AVERY from THE PAPER NEST DOLLS. She is so cute and makes a perfect addition to this fun Easter bag.

I kept my layers fairly simple (at least in my mind) and added a the Lovely View Die (Little Darlings), flowers (Recollections), pearls and a little pink paint brush for my embellishments. The paint brush was a last minute add to the bag. I am not sure where it came from, but discovered it in the disaster that is currently called my craft desk!

Oh and I can't forget my ribbon and bow. I always do my ribbon/bows in two stages. There is the part that I run across the paper which, on it's own lays nice and flat. Then I tie and add my bow separately with glue dots. I have a technique of tying the bow (single, double or triple) around my fingers and it works better for me,  than trying to tie everything in one piece.

Here is a closer look at the darling Avery.

If you are not too tied up with things I hope that you will join our challenge this week at Little Red Wagon. Link up your projects over on the blog and don't forget to check out what the fabulous Girlfriends have created for you this week.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps March Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS March release blog hop. Let's get comfy, grab your favourite drink and enjoy the hop.

This month we have shared an amazing collection of stamps. We started of the previews with a fun fantasy set featuring ELISHA THE MAGE and KIERSTEN THE KNIGHT. These are of course my favourite of the release as they were named after my daughters. The girls were super excited to hear the news about the stamps and my daughter Kiersten is now considering herself famous!

Next up was our beautiful RAIN OR SHINE sentiment set.

On Friday we showed a lovely and sweet set of seniors, showing that they are truly YOUNG AT HEART.

Finally, was our cute spring set with our darling kids called SPRINGTIME FRIENDS.

Today I am used KIERSTEN THE KNIGHT to make a personal gift for my daughter. She loves to create and draw, so this is a doodle book for her to use. Just as her sister's altered clipboard (here) I used the We R Memory Keepers Storetime paper for the book.

Here is a look at Kiersten in her gold armour.

I created a double flap book style note holder. The inside flaps have pockets at the bottom.

On one of the panels I added a small paper bag.

The note holder fits a 5x8 inch pad of paper.

Here is the back of the note holder.

Thanks for joining our March release hop. Today as you continue on your hop you will get to see all of the new March images being showcased. As you are going along remember to leave a comment. One lucky Krafty Friend will win a gift card to the shop.

All of the new March stamps are available in the shop today after noon (EST).

Coffee Card Kits
Have you seen these amazing Kits. The first round of pre-orders sold out quick. Due to the excitement of these amazing Kits, Kimmie is opening up for further pre-orders (TODAY). There will only be a limited number of kits available. The kits include an amazing LIMITED EDITION I {Heart} Coffee stamp! I don't know about you, but I do {heart} my coffee. If you are wondering what these kits look like, some of the Krafty Girls are sharing cards along this hop.

It time for day THREE of our March previews for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Today we have a truly endearing set to share from artist Emelie Goulet.

Your Next Stamp Sketch/Colour Challenge # 9

Welcome to the latest sketch and colour challenge at Your Next Stamp. The colours in this challenge have such a great spring feel and the sketch is fun and versatile.

I love sketches. You can use them as they are, or as a starting point. This sketch worked well with my usual layers so I stuck to the inspiration closely.

I used the darling nerdy boy from the A'DORK'ABLE stamp set along with the MME Boy Crazy paper for my card.

The image is coloured with Copic markers. The sentiment is heat embossed to give a chalk effect.

This card will be great for my daughter's teacher, so I added the thank you and will include this with a little thank you present at the end of the school year. Yeah! One teacher card down and one more to go. Still plenty of time.

For our sketch and colour challenge # 9 you have until March 19th (midnight) to play along. You can see more inspiration and link up your projects over at Your Next Stamp.

One random participant will WIN a $15 gift card to the YNS store. However, if you feature a YNS stamp or die (must be the main focal point) you will receive and additional $5. Oh yeah! When you use a YNS image there is also a chance of being selected as a YNS Top Pick. That's right, bragging rights for you and a fabulous badge to show off on your blog! Sounds exciting right? Ink up your stamps and show us your crafty stuff!

Have a fabulous and crafty Friday friends!
