Your Next Stamp Sketch/Colour Challenge 64 - Teacher Thank you!

Hello and welcome to another week of the Your Next Stamp sketch/colour challenge #63.

Every two weeks, there is a new challenge that features a sketch and colour inspiration. Pick the one that inspires you most, or try both for an added challenge. The best part of these challenges is you could win a gift certificate to the YNS store!

When using the colour inspiration, you must use at least 3 colours. You may also add neutrals

Today I used the colours for my inspiration to create a Teacher thank you card. We are nearing the end of the school year, so this will come in handy.

Supplies on this card include:

For the sketch/colour challenge #64, you will have until Thursday May 25th (midnight EST) to play along. Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog for more inspiration and to link up your creation.

One random participant will win a $15 gift card to the YNS store. If you feature YNS products (it must be the main focus of your project), you will receive an additional $5. When you use a YNS stamp/die, there is a chance of being selected as the YNS top pick. The winner and top pick are announced on the YNS blog, the Sunday after the close of the challenge.

If you use YNS products on your project, you can also take part in the YNS Social Media challenge. Simply showcase your YNS sketch/colour challenge #64 project on Instagram, Splitcoast Stampers or Facebook. Check out the currently challenge post at the YNS blog for more details on the social media challenge.

Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Your Next Stamp Summer Feature (Journal Notebook)

This month on the Your Next Stamp blog, the Design team are featuring projects that are all things SUMMER and all things FUN!

With a theme like summer fun, there really is so much you can do.

For my Summer Fun project, I created a journal for my oldest daughter to use for her upcoming summer holidays. My Letter Board Die really got a workout, as I made titles for the journal cover and insert pages inside the book. On the cover, I also used Happy Dance, the Overdue Library Card stamp and delicious Gumdrops.

Inside the first pages of the journal, I created pockets to hold a few tags and journal pages.

My daughter will have the chance to create her own summer bucket list of activities. I used Zero Calories to decorate this insert page. The tag, which will make an ideal bookmark for this avid reader, was created using the Cool Tag Three and Zero Calories. The other insert page is a chore list, because the summer can all be about fun and games.

The next part of the journal includes an additional pocket and a notepad.

This insert page which is decorate with the Spectacular Teacher stamp and die, will allow my daughter to record her summer reads.

Thanks for checking out my summer fun feature project today. If you head over to the YNS blog, you will also see projects by Holly and Martha. Stop back each day this week to see more fun Summer projects and on Friday the continuation of our current sketch/colour challenge.

Have a wonderful and crafty day!

Supplies Used:

Your Next Stamp - Teacher Appreciation (Birthday Phoebe)

Did you know that Teacher Appreciation weeks is coming up in May?

This week over on the Your Next Stamp blog, we are celebrating teachers and sharing gift giving ideas all week long!

For one of my daughter's teachers, I created a easel style note pad holder. The  holder fits 3x3 notes.

I sued the cute Birthday Phoebe on her lovely stack of books. I added the glasses to Phoebe using the Spectacular Teacher die set.

Here is the notepad holder when it's closed. The base of the note holders is 4.5 x 10.5 inches (scoring at 5, 5.5 and 8 inches). The holder for the actual notepad is 4 1/8 inches squared with scoring at 1/2 inch on each side),

If this little note holder is lucky enough to sit on the teacher desk, I have decorated the back using the Letter Board dies and the notebook from the Spectacular Teacher stamp set.

If you missed yesterday's projects from Holly and Anita, check it out here.

Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog to see more ideas on how you can created cards and gifts to say thanks to a teacher. There will be more features all week long and on Friday we will have a new Sketch/Colour challenge for your to play along with.

I have been enjoying creating a few clean and simple cards. Now it's not that they actually take me less time, because no matter how often I try, I still try and spend time considering what to put in all that white space. Some day I may learn.

I used a cute set called Spectacular Teacher. I used the stamp to paper piece this notebook/planner.

Here is a look at the inside of the card.

I hope you enjoy the previews for the Your Next Stamp April release. Remember to check out all of the previews from the design team. The complete list of previews is available on the YNS blog.
