Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge # 232......New Beginnings

Hey everyone, I am here with my last post as a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp GUEST DESIGNER. This month just flew by and I am so sad to be finished. I have had the best time. But.........guess what?????? Kimmie is having another chance to win a Krafty Girl guest spot! WHOOHOO!!!!!. To find out more about this amazing opportunity check out the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog post here.

Now for this weeks CHALLENGE for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Our hostess for this week is Krafty Girl Karen and her challenge is all about NEW BEGINNINGS. What could that be? New baby, job, house, wedding, graduation, car or license......the possibilities are endless. Whatever NEW beginning that you choose grab your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and get inky with us this week. You know that you could WIN. Submit your Krafty Kreations over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Blog for this weeks challenge post and you could have a chance to win more RUBBAH or a a gift card! SWEET!

For this week's challenge I am using Let the Good Times Roll.

Now at first glance you may be wondering what new beginning am I celebrating. It could be a new car or driver's license. NOPE. Keep guessing. For my card I used paper from the Pink Paislee Indigo Blue collection. The sign post was cut on my Cricut using the Mickey & Friends cartridge.

I added the congratulations sign and left the one arrow open for now. I may add something to personalize the card for the recipient. I Could add a date or maybe even a destination. Figure out what my new beginning is yet?

My card is in celebration of a graduation. Rolling on, moving forward towards a job or more school (depending on which graduation they are celebrating)! I added the other image from this set and included a couple of sentiments from a few sets  (Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn) that coordinated well with this card.

Don't forget to check out the amazing Frugal Friday deals this weekend. There are so many wonderful stamps on sale right now 25-50% off! Kimmie also has some fabulous deals on paper pads. Check out all the deal in the Kraftin' Kimmie Store.

Little Red Wagon & Kraftin' Kimmie

It's Wednesday time and it's my final dual post for the month. My guest design spot with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is coming to an end soon (sob!). It has been a lot of fun, working with the fabulous Kimmie and her talented DT.

This week over at Little Red Wagon, Jayne is our wonderful hostess and her challenge is called BUTTONS & BOWS. Now please note the AND, so that means using both!

If you want to join along with the Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday Challenge, well the rules are pretty simple. Remember to use a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and create something new (card, layout, altered project), any theme, style or design because for Wonderful Wednesday it is ANYTHING goes! At the end of the month one winner will be chosen from the submissions (for the month) and receive a Kraftin' Kimmie PRIZE! I'd say it's time to get KRAFTY!

For my card I used the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp Alice In Wonderland. She was so much fun to colour. I loved colouring all of the folds in the dress. Since I had a rather large embellishment to place on my card with the pocket watch, I decided to keep my BUTTONS and BOWS to a single button and a twine bow.

I created a distressed look for this card inking and running my scissors around the edges of all the paper. I used paper from MME Blush and Authentique Freebird collections. The tiny Queen of Hearts playing card is from Kaiser Crafts.

The image is coloured with Copic markers.

As soon as I spotted the Tim Holtz pocket watch at Michaels, I knew I was going to use it with Alice. I added a few gears and a spinner also from Tim Holtz and the clock face inside the watch is a stamp from Graphic 45. The flowers are from Michaels (Recollections).

To adhere the watch to applied a generous amount of glossy accents to the back and stuck it in place on the card. I then tucked in the flowers and added more Glossy Accents around everything. It seems stuck down pretty well.

Inside the card I re-stamped Alice, added the sentiment which comes with the image and an additional birthday greeting. I also like to add additional patterned paper and embellishments (playing cards) to tie in with the front of the card.

Join us over at Little Red Wagon and play along with this weeks BUTTONS and BOWS challenge. While you are there check out the wonderful creations by the other Girlfriends. Lots of inspiration from the team. Don't forget to link up your projects at the LRW blog.

You can also check out the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog to see more inspiration from the DT for this weeks Wonderful Wednesday Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

Kraftin' Kimmie May Release Day and a Hop!!!

I have had a blast this week sharing projects for the May release at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS. Today we are back with a release day KRAFTY BLOG HOP! Join the Krafty Girls and guests (that's me) as we share and hopefully inspire you with these amazing NEW stamps!

This week we have previewed a lot of great images. We started the release off with the super cute nautical set from Cheryl Alger called AHOY, SAILOR. Then it was all about sun and sand with the Moonlight Whispers set by Annie Rodrigue called BEACHY KEEN. Last but certainly not least we were showing off the fun set by Thais Narciso called UNDER THE SEA!

I am excited to share my card with you for today's release BLOG HOP. I love the UNDER THE SEA stamp set and decided create another fun card.

For my card I went nautical, creating a fun porthole using two different size circle dies on white card stock. This was then adhered with dimensional adhesive over my coloured image. I created the banner by cutting up canvas material which I then glued to scrap paper to add a bit of strength. I tread the twine through the banner and around my porthole. The twine is tacked down in a few sections with small dot of Glossy Accents (love that stuff). The studs in the portholes are Jellies from Queen & Co. Candy Shoppe.

The image is coloured with Copic Markers and for the sky and water I used Tim Holtz Distress ink (salty ocean and peacock feathers). I flicked the bottom part of the image with a bit of water to create an interesting effect with the sea water.

To go with the nautical look I used a few more shells, star fish sticker, Tim Holtz spinner and yes more cheesecloth (this stuff is great). My sentiment is stamped on a self adhesive sheet of wood paper that I discovered in my stash.  I used Stazon black in to stamp the sentiment.

Finally the inside of the card is finished off with more twine and Queen & Co. Glitter Studs. The sentiment is my favourite from this set.

Now it's time to continue hoppin' along and check out the inspiration by the rest of the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests. Remember to leave a comment at each of the blogs on this hop because some lucky stampers will win packages of these incredible stamps from the new release.

After you are done hoppin' be sure visit the Kraftin' Kimmie shop where all of these amazing images are available.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the HOPPIN' and SHOPPIN'!

Kraftin' Kimmie May Preview........Day 3 (Plus a Challenge)

How much are you lovin' the MAY preview from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps?

It's day THREE of the peeks and we have another amazing set to show off for your today from THAIS. This fun summer set is called UNDER THE SEA.

Of course it's also Saturday and that means it's time for another fun Kraftin' Kimmie weekly CHALLENGE. The hostess for this week is Sharon and her challenge is ANYTHING GOES! So grab a new or favourite Kraftin' Kimmie image and create a card, layout or altered item for this weeks' challenge. You can use any theme, style, design.......it's ANYTHING GOES, with a Kraftin' Kimmie image!

Sound fun? Of course it does. Remember to show off your Krafty designs over at the Kraftin' Kimmie blog. If you play along you have a chance to WIN a $10 Gift Certificate towards something fabulous in the shop!

I had a lot of fun with the UNDER THE SEA set. I used paper from Echo Park Summer Bliss and A Perfect Summer and embellished the card with natural twine (Recollection), cheese cloth, and sea shells (from my daughter's stash)!

To create dimension, I stamped my image twice. Using the Tim Holtz ink blending tool, I applied  distress ink on the background layer for my sky (salty ocean) and water (peacock feathers). For the top layer, I coloured the image with Copic markers then fussy cut and adhered it to the background layer using foam adhesive. To create the look of water, I applied a thin layer of Glossy Accents.

Inside the card I stamped two additional images and sentiments from the Under the Sea set.

Check out all of the Krafty Girls listed below to see their creations featuring these amazing stamps in the UNDER THE SEA set by Thais. Be sure to leave comments while you are hopping because you could WIN this stamp set! (The winner for today's hop will be announce later this week).

Kraftin' Kimmie May Preview.........Day Two

Hey Krafty friends! Welcome back to day TWO of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps May preview. Today we are back to show off the amazing new MOONLIGHT WHISPERS stamp set by Annie Rodrigue! This fun set features two FAB summer beach beauties and 3 fun sentiments.

I am so excited to be joining Kimmie and the Design team to show off.........BEACHY KEEN! Check out the fun KRAFTY KREATIONS and all the amazing inspiration by the talented Design team and guests featuring these new images.

Are you ready for summer? How about the beach? This card definitely has me excited about sun, sand and a bit relaxation. Check out the paper pieced polka dot bikini this FAB beach girl is wearing! I used paper from Echo Park Summer Bliss and Lawn Fawn Let's Polka, paired with the flip flops and starfish stickers from EK Success (Jolee's Boutique) and a bit of a new favourite embellishment .... cheesecloth! You will see it featured on a few of my release projects!

The image is coloured with Copic markers. To add colour to the cheese cloth, I used a sponge to apply pink ink.

I love to decorate the inside of my cards. This way it's an added surprise to the person getting the card. A simple technique is to repeat an image on the inside of the card, this time the beach girl was stamped in brown ink and paired with one of the fun sentiment from this set. To finish off the inside of my card, I added a few small banners cut from coordinating paper and used fun sunglasses stickers from EK Success Jolee's Boutique.

Now it's time for you to check out all of the Krafty Girls that are showing off their wonderful KRAFTY KREATIONS featuring these amazing images. The list is below. While you are visiting their blogs please be sure to leave some lovely comments at each of your stops. There will be one lucky person that will WIN today's featured stamp. What a great day, amazing inspiration and prizes!

The stamps from this May release will be available on Saturday morning at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop. Join us on Saturday for the live online release party at the Kraftin' Kimmie Facebook fan page. You can find details on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog post here.

I am super excited to be sharing with you day one of the May Kraftin' Kimmie Previews. Today we are showing off a super cute set featuring Lulu, Lexi and Lucas! This set is by the amazingly talented Cheryl Alger and we're sure it will "float your boat"! Today the design team and guests (me!) are showing off samples featuring......AHOY, SAILOR!

For my card I worked with with one of my favourites and that's.....LULU! Isn't she the cutest? To create my nautical look for this card I used the Carta Bella Rough and Tumble collection and added pennants, a porthole and some natural twine.

I really enjoyed creating a scene around this fun image, which is coloured using Copic markers.

The porthole and banners were cut on my Cricut. The top layer of the banner was covered with glue and sprinkled with Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter (clear) then topped off with a glitter star (Queen & Co).

All the Krafty Girls and Guests listed below have lots of super FUN designed to show you, so be sure to hop over to each of them! Little Red Wagon # 238 - Use a Feather

Hey everyone it's Wednesday and time for another challenge over at Little Red Wagon.

This week Rosanne is hosting our challenge and she would like us to use a feather on our project.

I procrastinated on this challenge, because I don't have any actual feathers in my stash. My husband suggesting pulling some out of a pillow. It was definitely an option, but one that I would hold if I was desperate.

Luckily I did not need to take the path of desperation. After a search through my paper stash, I found a wonderful collection which I am happy to say has feathers! Whoohoo, score!!!!

I kept my card clean and simple using the "Sweet Notes" collection by Allison Kreft's Designs for Webster's Pages. You will see the beautiful feathers on the little folder. The hello sticker is from Heidi Swapp.

On the inside of my card I showed off more of the lovely feathers by adding coordinating paper and a small 3x4 card with a lovely "feather" quill.

I hope that you will flock over to Little Red Wagon to join our challenge this week. While you are at the blog check out the wonderful creations by the other Girlfriends. You will see a lot of wonderful inspiration for this weeks challenge.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

It's time for another fabulous challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! I have been have a blast this month joining along with the super talented Krafty Girls as a Guest Designer for the month of May.

This week Krafty Girl Sheri is our hostess and her challenge is called GIRLY, GIRl! Sound like fun? There are so many fabulous Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps that are GIRLY. Grab those stamps, maybe a bit of bling, or even something PINK (it's Kimmie's favourite) and let's get GIRLY! You can make any crafty paper project you want, just use at least one Girly Kraftin' Kimmie image.

Don't forget about the fabulous FRUGAL FRIDAY SPECIALS this weekend. There are a lot of stamp sets on sale 25-50% off! There are so many great images and some of them you will see featured in projects for this weeks challenge. Inspiration and sales, what more can you want! Head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp store and happy shopping!

For my card I used the lovely PEONY. The paper on the card is from adornit "Home Tweet Home" 12x12 paper collections. I have been trying to work with all of my paper collections to get through some of my older stashes that I haven't had the chance to scrapbook. This one was perfect for a few cards.

A close up of my image, which is coloured with Copic markers. I have had a few questions about my bows and I am going to share the secret, which was previously shared with me. Check out some of my earlier bows and you will see the improvement. You can create easy bows anywhere with this very simple tool that I know your already own. Do you know what it is? Well it's your fingers and they can help make a wonderful bow. I like this video tutorial. I adapted the technique in the video to get my single bow.

If you want another great video check out Krafty Girl Sharon's video on the Kraftin' Kimmie YouTube page, she's using a tool called Bow Easy. There are also a number of other fabulous videos so go check it out.

Now for the inside of the card. Here I used another Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and combined a Happy Birthday sentiment with the Peony "Bee-utiful" and added a few bees.

Now stop over to the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge blog to check out the wonderful creations by the Krafty Girls and other Krafty Guests featuring this week's challenge. I am sure they will inspire you with their GIRLY creations. Then ink up your Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and play along. You could WIN!

Little Red Wagon # 237 How Charming & Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday

It's Wednesday and time again for a dual post with Little Red Wagon and Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

This week Jan is our LITTLE RED WAGON hostess and she is looking for a bit of CHARM. That means she would like to see you use a charm on your project.

If you are using a KRAFTIN' KIMMIE stamp, you can join in with another Wonderful Wednesday challenge for the month of May. It's an anything goes challenge, however you must use at least one Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp, but it can be any theme, style and design and it can be a card, scrapbook page or an altered item!

For my card this week I am using the Kraftin' Kimmie Moonlight Whispers stamp ANNE OF GREEN GABLES. I love this image for so many reasons, but most of all because it is one of my favourite books and movies.

I used paper from the Echo Park "Getaway" collection. I really loved the paper with the script and thought it tied in nicely with the image. My CHARM is a small key that I tied to the card with twine.

This image was a lot of fun to colour. I used my Copic markers and really tried to create an older feel with my colours.

Inside the card I used the great sentiment that is included with the Anne image.

Are you ready to CHARM us with your creations this week? Head over to Little Red Wagon and link up your projects. Remember to check out the inspiration the rest of the Girlfriends are sharing.

If you are playing along with the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Wonderful Wednesday challenge you are welcome to combine with other challenges (like Little Red Wagon), but it cannot be combined with the regular weekly Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge. This must be a new and different creations than anything you create for the Saturday challenges. Show your krafty stuff and you may win!

Thanks for stopping and have a Wonderful Wednesday!!!

Little Red Wagon (Seeing Spots) & Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday

It's Wednesday and today that is double exciting because not only am I sharing a post for Little Red Wagon, but for the month of May I am also a Guest designer over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

This month with my super busy crafty and personal schedule I am multi-tasking a little for a few of my challenges for Little Red Wagon.

This week Joanne is our fabulous hostess and she is "Seeing Spots". That means she would like to see some spots or dots on your project.

For my card today I used one of my favourite characters from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and that is Miss Lulu. This image is from the Lulu and Friend stamp set. I used paper from Lawn Fawn's Hello Sunshine 6x6 paper pad and coordinated my image with my background paper with a bit of paper piecing.

Sweet Lulu is coloured with Copic markers. I also added Glossy Accents for the rain.

One of my favourite ways to decorate the inside of my card is to repeat a few of the elements from the front. This often includes using the same pattern papers and re-stamping the image in a coordinating colour.

Join our fun "Seeing Spots" challenge this week over at Little Red Wagon. Link up your project over at the blog and while you are there check out the creations of the other Girl Friends. They will have some fabulous inspiration to share.

If you want to play along with the Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday Challenge this is the first one for the month of May. Feel free to hop over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Blog to see who the random winner is for April. You can then join us for this week's challenge and it is always ANYTHING GOES (using a Kraftin' Kimmie image)!

Your submission must use at least one Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp but it can be any theme, any style, any design and it can be a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item.....you name it! It must be a NEW creation and you can enter on this challenge until May 13th.  Head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge blog for details.

** Please note that you are more than welcome to combine the Kraftin' Kimmie Wonderful Wednesday Challenge with other challenges (like Little Red Wagon), but it cannot be combined with the Kraftin' Kimmie regular weekly challenges. This must be a new and different creation than anything you may create for the Saturday Challenges.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday.
