This week Jayne is our fabulous hostess and she has a great challenge for you today! Her challenge today is all about going MONOCHROMATIC! That's right get your 50 shades of.......pick your colour. Whatever colour you choose, monochromatic means you are using various shades of that one colour.
Now this challenge can be a bit tricky, especially when you decide you are going to work with a stamped image (of a person). That means working in pinks, blues or greens although fun, won't really work for my cute little image. So for my card I worked within the brown shades. My darling image is a digi from Tiddlyinks called Wryn Goes Carolling and she is coloured entirely with Copics from the E shades. Now there are a lot of options in the earth tone colours, so I think it was a good choice for this card.
I was also able to pull a number of earth tone colours from my paper stash including Echo Park (Very Merry Christmas), Simple Stories (Cozy Christmas) and Cosmo Cricket (Art Angel). With the exception of the slight big of green on the brown flowers, I distress my whites to make them brown(ish) and VOILA.......50 Shades of earth tone browns.
Are you up for playing along with this week's MONOCHROMATIC challenge at Little Red Wagon? Head over to the LRW blog to link up your project and see a little bit of inspiration from the other Girlfriends.
Thanks for dropping by today and have a super crafty day!
