This month at YOUR NEXT STAMP, our Design Team (DT) Dare challenge is called ABC. That means we were given the challenge to create Anything But a Card!
When this challenge comes up, I do have a few "go to" projects that I like to use. Note pad holders, book marks, scrapbook pages and gift boxes are all great options. Having so many fabulous Halloween stamps and dies, this month I decided to create a gift box. This will go as a gift to one of my daughter's teachers this year. It's so nice to be ahead of schedule on a few things.
I inked up mummy Waddles from the WADDLES TRICK OF TREAT to decorate my 4x4 Halloween treat box.
I have done a few gift boxes in a variety of sizes. They are easy to make, and work for all seasons and occasions. I decorated this box using paper from Jillibean Soup Owloween Stew collection.
Measurements for a 4 x 4 x 1.5 inch box:
Box Base: 7 inches square scored at 1.5 inches on all sides
Lid: the cardstock for the lid will measure 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch large than the piece cut for the bottom of the box. Score again 1.5 inches on all sides.
Just load up the box with a few goodies and it's all ready for your child's teach, a coworkers or friend.
Here is a closer look a sweet mummy Waddles. I used the Waddles Trick or Treat die set to cut out the image. I also added a few of the new gumdrops called Candy Corn and Spellbound.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: WADDLES TRICK OF TREAT
Dies: Waddles Trick or Treat, Stitched Square Die
Paper: Jillibean Soup Owloween Stew
Other: Candy Corn and Spellbound Gumdrops
