YNS Sketch/Colour Challenge #57 - Dino-Mite!

Hello and welcome to another week of the Your Next Stamp sketch/colour challenge #57.

Every two weeks, there is a new challenge that features a sketch and colour inspiration. Pick the one that inspires you most, or try both for an added challenge. The best part of these challenges is you could win a gift certificate to the YNS store!

When using the colour inspiration, you must use at least 3 colours. You may also add neutrals

I dug way into my stash to pull out a stamp I haven't used in awhile. I love the Dino-mite set and decided to make a nice masculine birthday card. I don't often make them, so it was a nice change.

For the sketch/colour challenge # 57, you will have until Thursday February 16th (midnight EST) to play along. Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog for more inspiration and to link up your creation.

One random participant will win a $15 gift card to the YNS store. If you feature YNS products (it must be the main focus of your project), you will receive an additional $5. When you use a YNS stamp/die, there is a chance of being selected as the YNS top pick. The winner and top pick are announced on the YNS blog, the Sunday after the close of the challenge.

Your Next Stamp - May Feature Day

Welcome to the May YOUR NEXT STAMP feature post. Each month the design team posts creations to inspire you, using specific themes or stamps. This month, we are showing off projects that are based on a CASE of one of our fellow design team members.

This is not as easy as it seems. My team-mates are so talented, that I couldn't decide which wonderful card to case! I finally settle on a recent card by Angel from the May release. She used Maki a Wish. You can see her original post for this card (here)!

Angel's Card I cased!

I had fun playing around with Angel's card design. I used the DINO-MITE stamps along with the matching die and showcased the cute dinosaur using the STITCHING CIRCLE DIE. In place of the GUMDROPS (enamel dots) I used the MINI INK SPLATTER stamp.

The paper is Bundle of Joy (Boy) from Echo Park. The dino image is coloured with Copic Markers.

Little Red Wagon # 277 - Round and Round We Go!

I am so happy to be back for another Little Red Wagon challenge. Unfortunately, I didn't totally follow the rules for this challenge. Oh I am not is good form this month. I am going to blame it on the  crazy cold weather we've been having. You know -34 C will do that to a girl.!

This week Collette is hosting her first challenge and she is giving us the go round. That's right ROUND AND ROUND WE GO for this week's challenge. Not only does your card need to be circle/oval, Collette is really challenging us and she would like no angles or sharp corner anywhere on your card (OOPS!). Just ignore the sentiment flag on this card.

For my almost round card, I used a new stamp set from Your Next Stamp called DINO-MITE. The paper is from Echo Park (Fine and Dandy) and I did embellishment with a few delicious (round) green apple glittered Gumdrops (Your Next Stamp).

Your Next Stamp Sketch/Colour Challenge # 7

Today I am excited to be back sharing out card for the Your Next Stamp Sketch/Colour challenge # 7.

Every two weeks we have another amazing SKETCH:

and COLOUR challenge for you to play along with.

Today I slightly adapted the sketch and created birthday card using the DINO-MITE stamp and Die. The too cute paper is called Bundle of Joy from Echo Park. I added a few Cotton Candy blue gumdrops for a bit of contrast by my sentiment.

Your Next Stamp February Release Hop

Hello crafty friends, welcome to the Your Next Stamp February release hop.

Can you believe that it is already February? I don't know where the time has gone. I am excited to be sharing more creations, using this months new stamps and dies. This release is absolutely AMAZING! This month's release has a bit of everything, including St. Patrick's day, dinosaurs, images for babies and birthdays. There are also some great dies including a number of ones for the image sets and the amazing stitched circles (love' em).

Today we have a great hop to showcase all of these fabulous images and dies. Take a moment to look around, then you will want to hop along to all of the blogs featured below. For my first card I used the super sweet DINO-MITE stamps along with the STITCHING MARKS CIRCLE Die.

 

I just adore these cute prehistoric critters, however I knew that my darling dino was going to include pink, glitter and flowers! I used Copic markers on my dino and added sparkle using my Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter.

Of course, you know my card is not complete with out a finished inside. I just love the sentiments with this set. This one is my favourite.

For my second card, I used the darling JESSICA WITH CUPCAKES. I just love this sweet image and I think she will get a lot of use with all the birthday parties my girls have coming up.
