Little Red Wagon # 262 - Home is Where the Heart Is

Today I am back sharing a card for our weekly challenge over at Little Red Wagon. This week Carolyn is our hostess and her challenge is called HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS. So what does that mean? Well this week Carolyn is looking for each of us to interpret the challenge in our own way. You may be inspired to create a card or perhaps a layout comes to mind with this phrase. Create a new project and link up your creation at the Little Red Wagon Blog.

I was very excited about this week's challenge. I took the HOME in the literal way and created a winter scene on my card with the WINTER HOME stamp set from YOUR NEXT STAMP. I really enjoyed the scene on my first card with this set (here) so I once again grabbed my distress ink to play around.

To create the night sky I used the distress ink applicator and applied my blue inks starting with salty ocean, broken china and finally faded jeans. I then used the Sakura white glaze pen to add my snow.

On top of my distress night sky I then layered my house image which was coloured with Copic Markers and paper pieced portions of the house to create a very subtle dimension to the winter home. The snow effect was created using Deco Art Snow Writer. I kept the card design simple to showcase this amazing stamp. The paper is from Fancy Pants (Merry Little Christmas).

Here is a look at the inside of my card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have time to play along with this week's HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS challenge. Stop over to the Little Red Wagon blog to show us your stuff and check out what my fellow Girlfriends are showing off today as well.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday.

Tracy
