Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Creating a Gift Box

I am sharing a tutorial over on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog on how to create a gift box. I used the SMARTY PANTS stamp set to decorate this box.

You can find the full tutorial here.

This box was used for a set of 12 note cards (with envelopes) and the box measures 6 x 4 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches. The base of the box will be cut at 9 1/2 x 8 1/4 inches. Score your box at 1 3/4 inches, rotate the paper and repeat on all sides.

For the lid just add between 1/16 inches to 1/8 of an inch to size of base measurement. Again score at 1 3/4 inches on all sides.

Here is a look at the finished box, complete with the set of note cards.

You can see the video tutorial on creating the chalkboard effect on the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps YouTube page here.

Here is another example of a gift box. This one measures 5 3/4 inches square. The cardstock for the base of your box will measure at 9 1/4 inches square. Score at 1 3/4 on all sides. Again the lid will be 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch large than the base size with the same score at 1 3/4 inches on all sides). The stamp on this box is I {HEART} COFFEE.

Head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog for the FULL TUTORIAL

My card features GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN and I used just a tiny bit of the beautiful paper from the Simple Stories Summer Vibe 6x6 pad.

Inside the card I used a sentiment from HELLO FRIENDS.

This week at Little Red Wagon, I am hosting and this will be my last challenge as one of the LRW Girlfriends. I am very sad to be leaving, but life has gotten a little too busy. I have enjoyed my last year and a half with the Girlfriends and I look forward to playing along with a few challenge when I have a chance.

As hostess this week my challenge is called CUTE AS A BUTTON. Simply put, show me cute and make sure there is a button or two (or more) on your project.

This week's card I pull a bit inspiration from the June Kraftin' Kimmie Sketch with a few minor modifications with my own lil' touch.

Here is my card featuring this darling lil' cutie from the BIRTHDAY BUDDIES stamps set.

The paper is from Echo Park Birthday Wishes (Birthday Girl).

Here is a look at the completed inside of the card. I added a second stamp from this set and finished off with a sentiment from the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps MAKE A WISH set.

I hope that you find time to join our CUTE AS A BUTTON challenge over at Little Red Wagon. While you are there stop over to the other Girlfriends blogs to see all of the inspiration they are sharing. Check out our Little Red Wagon Facebook group (here).

I know I just inked up these FUNNY FARM CREW last week. I love them so much that I wanted to make another fun card with this set. I also used the FUNNY FARM SENTIMENT set.

The Simple Stories Homespun had a nice country feel and I finished this card off with delicious olive green GUMDROPS.

Here is a look at the inside.  I added the sentiment from the WHATNOT SENTIMENT TWO set and added the cute pig.

Your Next Stamp Sketch/Colour Challenge # 16

Welcome to our sketch and colour challenge #16 at Your Next Stamp. Each challenge includes a sketch and colour options to inspire you.

Create a project based on the sketch and/or the colour combination. If you are working with the colours use at least 3 of the colours and you can add only neutrals.

For this challenge I had a little fun with the sketch. I love the getting creative and putting my own spin on sketches. For the spin on this sketch I turned the sketch on it's side and used three grouped items (letters, apple and gumdrops) instead of circles. I used the following dies:

The Doodlebug paper and olive green Gumdrops were perfect for this teacher thank you card.

Inside the card I used the Heartfelt sentiments and the 'teacher' stamp is from the A'dork'able set.

For our sketch and colour challenge # 16 you have until June 25th (midnight) to play along. You can see more inspiration and link up your projects over at Your Next Stamp.

One random participant will WIN a $15 gift card to the YNS store. If you feature a YNS stamp or die (must be the main focal point) you will receive and additional $5. When you use a YNS image there is also a chance of being selected as a YNS Top Pick. That's right, bragging rights for you and a fabulous badge to show off on your blog! Sounds exciting right? Ink up your stamps and show us your crafty stuff!

Have a fabulous and crafty Friday friends!

Little Red Wagon # 294 Stitching

Hello crafty friends. Welcome back to today's Little Red Wagon challenge. Jan is our fabulous hostess for the week and she would like to see some STITCHING.

Now I know Jan, wasn't trying to torture me with this week's challenge. I believe I have been very clear that I can NOT sew to save my life! So instead of trying to work any type of real stitching on my card, I went with the safe and easy route and grabs some stitching dies. This type of die has been a go to for me on a number of my cards. These rectangle ones are from Your Next Stamp.

I went clean and simple (CAS) with my card for this week. I grabbed this sweet FAR OUT stamp from My Favorite Things that I haven't inked up for such a long time.

The paper is My Girl from My Minds Eye was perfect for that retro vibe. I embellished with a few Gumdrops (enamel dots) from Your Next Stamp.

Here is a peek at the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today. I really hope that you have time to play along with our fun STITCHING challenge. Link up your projects over at the Little Red Wagon blog. If you are looking for some inspiration, please check our my fab GIRLFRIENDS creations this week.

Have a fabulous and crafty day friends!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps June New Release Hop

Welcome to the KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS June release blog hop. Let's get comfy, grab your favourite drink and enjoy the hop.

Today on the hop you will see amazing Krafty Creations featuring all of the stamps from this month's release. We started off the previews with the whimsical Moonlight Whispers set called FIN-TASTIC FRIENDS.

Then we rolled along with a new masculine set called LET'S ROLL DUDE!

Finally we have our cute kids in the sweet set BELIEVE IN FAIRYTALES.

I am on a roll this release with my masculine cards. I have enjoyed tearing into my small stash boy themed paper pads, that are so very neglected in my card making. I use to find making these cards more challenging, however I am starting to enjoy the simple cards. I don't ever feel the need to worry loading up my manly cards with lots of embellishments.

The paper on my card is from Echo Park 'A Boy's Life' Collection.

Here is a look at the inside of the card.

I hope you are enjoying all of the projects featured in our June Release blog hop. Remember to leave a comment on each of the blogs in the hop. One lucky Krafty stamper will win a gift card to the shop.

If you haven't already done so, head over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps store shop. All of the new images are available. If you just love it all (like me), check out the Gimmie Kimmie Kits which feature all of the images from the June release at a discount. These are for a limited time only. You will want to check out the store and see all of the other goodies (paper, mounting supplies, embellishments) you can get.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Preview: Day Two - Let's Roll Dude!

It's time for day TWO of our June previews for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

Today we have another fantastic masculine set from the amazing artist Emilie Goulet. This wild set is called LET'S ROLL DUDE and it features three images that will be perfect for a variety of boys.

I don't get to make a lot of masculine cards and most times when I do, they take me forever to put together. I can say that has not been the case recently. I have enjoyed colouring and creating cards with these amazing images.

For my young scooter boy, I pulled out one of my older papers from MME (Fine & Dandy) and I layered and distressed everything. With a few simple tags and gears the card is all together.

Now it's time for you to check out the other Krafty Girls and our Guests who are sharing their amazing projects today! As you are hopping along, remember to leave your comments. We would love to see you win a prize. That's right, hop, comment and one lucky krafty friend will win Krafty $ to spend in the shop!

All of the June release stamps will be available Saturday night after the release party.
