Welcome to our sketch and colour challenge #17 at Your Next Stamp. Each challenge includes a sketch and colour options to inspire you.
Create a project based on the sketch and/or the colour combination. If you are working with the colours use at least 3 of the colours and you can add only neutrals.
This week I had fun with the sketch, once again putting my own spin on it. I flipped the sketch on the side and created a fun scene using the Word Critters - Spring Bird stamp and the Fence die. The sentiment is from the Jessica with Cupcakes set.
The paper is Cool Summer from Carta Bella. The cute clouds were perfect for my scene.
Inside the card I used Heartfelt Sentiments.
For our sketch and colour challenge # 17 you have until July 9th (midnight) to play along. You can see more inspiration and link up your projects over at Your Next Stamp.
One random participant will WIN a $15 gift card to the YNS store. If you feature a YNS stamp or die (must be the main focal point) you will receive and additional $5. When you use a YNS image there is also a chance of being selected as a YNS Top Pick. That's right, bragging rights for you and a fabulous badge to show off on your blog! Sounds exciting right? Ink up your stamps and show us your crafty stuff!
Have a fabulous and crafty Friday friends!

Your Next Stamp Sketch/Colour Challenge # 16
Welcome to our sketch and colour challenge #16 at Your Next Stamp. Each challenge includes a sketch and colour options to inspire you.
Create a project based on the sketch and/or the colour combination. If you are working with the colours use at least 3 of the colours and you can add only neutrals.
For this challenge I had a little fun with the sketch. I love the getting creative and putting my own spin on sketches. For the spin on this sketch I turned the sketch on it's side and used three grouped items (letters, apple and gumdrops) instead of circles. I used the following dies:
The Doodlebug paper and olive green Gumdrops were perfect for this teacher thank you card.
Inside the card I used the Heartfelt sentiments and the 'teacher' stamp is from the A'dork'able set.
For our sketch and colour challenge # 16 you have until June 25th (midnight) to play along. You can see more inspiration and link up your projects over at Your Next Stamp.
One random participant will WIN a $15 gift card to the YNS store. If you feature a YNS stamp or die (must be the main focal point) you will receive and additional $5. Your Next Stamp (DT Dare)/Little Red Wagon (Make an Impression)
Today I am sharing a card for the May DT Dare challenge at Your Next Stamp and our weekly challenge at Little Red Wagon.
This month at YOUR NEXT STAMP, our Design Team (DT) Dare challenge was to create a project that included stitching and Gumdrops (enamel dots). After a brief moment of panic, I realized that sewing is not always required to achieve stitching. An amazing die set that gives the look of stitching lines, will also work and save you A LOT of time!
For this week's LITTLE RED WAGON challenge, Carolyn is the boss, and she would like us to MAKE AN IMPRESSION. By that, she is looking for some dry embossing on your project. Dry embossing is not something I do often, so this was fun to work it into my card.
I created a fun shaker card using some confetti I've had in my stash for a few years. I used the YNS Stitched Rectangle die to create my shaker box frame, layering it with coloured cardstock for a pop of colour. In addition to my embossed stitching lines, I added some embossing inside my shaker box.
To decorate the shaker box I used the cute A+ Owl Banner stamp and added glittered Grape Punch Gumdrops.
The A+ Owl Banner stamp comes with 10 different sentiments for the banner. There is also a matching die.
Inside the card I used the Heartfelt Sentiments stamp.
Head over to the Your Next Stamp blog and check out the DT DARE post for this month. Comment on the post for a chance to WIN a prize. You will also see more amazing creations from my fellow YNS DT girls.
I hope that I've made a good IMPRESSION and you'll be playing along with our challenge this week at Little Red Wagon. For more inspiration you must check out the projects by my fellow Girlfriends.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a fabulous and crafty day everyone!

Little Red Wagon (Distress It) / The Paper Nest Dolls (Guest)
Hello crafty friends. I hope you are all have a wonderful week so far. Today it's time for new challenge at Little Red Wagon.
I am also sharing my project for my final month as a Guest Designer for The Paper Nest Dolls.
This week, I am hosting the challenge at Little Red Wagon, and I went with something easy and fun. This week, my challenge is called DISTRESSING IT. So it's simple, just ink your papers, fray your edges or add a few tears to your paper. Even better, do them all.
For my distressed card I used the image MADDIE WITH GLASSES from The Paper Nest Dolls. Plenty of inking, frays and rips on my paper.
The paper is from My Minds Eye (Notable). I used a the Notebook Edge Die from Your Next Stamp. All of the paper is inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink.
Inside the card I added a sentiment from Your Next Stamp Heartfelt Sentiments.
Stop stressing and start DISTRESSING!
Head over to the Little Red Wagon blog to link up your project and to see what all of the amazing and talented Girlfriends have created this week.
Thanks for stopping by and have a super crafty day!

Your Next Stamp Sketch/Colour Challenge #8
Yeah it's Friday! Not only are we at the end of the work week, we also are in the middle of a great sketch and colour challenge at Your Next Stamp.
There are two challenges each month and you have the option of creating a new project based on the sketch or the colour scheme. If you are really motivated you can incorporate both. On Friday, the YNS Design Team showcases projects to help inspire you with the current challenge.
This time I decided to play along using the colours as inspiration. I just love the looks of these vibrant colours together. I kept the card fairly simple and used the FLOWER FUN TWO die set. I ran the die through my die cut machine for each of the colours and pieced them together on my card.
I added black GUMDROPS and used the birthday sentiment from JESSICA WITH CUPCAKES.
Inside the card I added a sentiment from HEARTFELT SENTIMENTS and decorate with a few of the floral die cut pieces.

Your Next Stamp CAS Inspiration Series
Today I am sharing a post that is on the Your Next Stamp blog which is part of a series on CAS inspiration.
I am going to admit I did freak out just a bit when I received this first DT inspiration assignment. CAS is not my go to style and there have been so many amazing posts by my fellow DT what else can I share with you.
How about CAS layers without bulk!
For my card I used the amazing Heart Doily Die set.
I used all of the pieces of this amazing die set, running it through my Cuttlebug 4 times on different colours of card stock. I then assembled the die pieces on my card just like putting together a puzzle.
To avoid the additional bulk of multiple layers I inlaid my die into my white background layer. This is done by using the larges die cut element on your background card stock. It is really quick and easy and fun to create fun patterns with your various colours. The sentiment was created using the Skinny Font Alpha set.
Inside the card I created a frame for my sentiment using leftover die cut pieces. The sentiment is a great set that I use a lot on my cards called Heartfelt Sentiments.
Feel inspired to get your CAS groove on? Check out the Your Next Stamp blog for more CAS inspiration by the DT.

You're Too Sweet
This is a card that I created for the November challenge over at Your Next Stamp. Each month they have both a sketch and inspirational photo challenges. This card is for the inspirational photo.
When I saw this photo I was drawn to the colours and apples, so I incorporated both into my card.
For my card I used Your Next Stamps Ellie Loves School. The paper is from My Minds Eye Miss Caroline 6x6 paper pad.
The image is coloured with Copic markers. The sentiment is from a My Favorite Things Stamp "Lollipop Girl". It wasn't until after I added my sentiment that I found a stamp in my stash that said "Cutie Pie". That would have tied in nicely.
The inside sentiment is also from Your Next Stamp "Heartfelt Sentiments".
This is my submission for the Your Next Stamp November 2013 YNSFFC06.
Now I feel like doing some baking. Have a sweet day!
