Where did September go? The last few months have been a bit of a blur for me lately. Crazy busy with work, getting ready for my daughters BIG 1-0 birthday party, work, design stuff, getting ready for Thanksgiving (here in Canada), oh and if I didn't mention it already WORK!!!
Today we have another fun challenge over at the Little Red Wagon blog. Jayne is hosting and is giving us the challenge of STITCHING! Real or faux it's up to you.
I am going to tell you that I can't sew to save my life. The extent of my ability beyond a button is......well......non-existent. I don't even own a sewing machine. So if I want stitching, it's all by hand. I know I could have taken the faux stitching route, but I do love the look of real stitching so that is what I went with. Of course I had a lot of layers planned so I kept my sewing simple!
I am very excited about today's card for a couple of reason. First and most important of all I made this card for my daughter who is celebrating her 10th birthday today. Yep, it's a milestone turning to double digits. We celebrated this past weekend with a trip for her and a few friend to the spa for manicures and pedicures, followed by a sleepover party. I am still trying to catch up on my sleep from a house of giggling girls!
My other excitement with this card is that I used an adorable image from The Paper Nest Dolls called Poodle Skirt Ellie and today, my card is featured on The Paper Nest Dolls blog! I just love these adorable images. You have to check out and see the digital and rubber stamps that are available in the online store. So many great images that you will adore.
My daughter is cheerful, fun and just a wee bit outgoing. For this birthday card, I really wanted to use fun and vibrant colours and the Doodlebug Sugar Shoppe 6x6 paper pad was just perfect. Although it's not a lot, I tucked a bit of stitching on my background layer and more on my tag.
Inside my card I used a sentiment from Your Next Stamp called Whatnot Sentiments One.
I hope that you have a time to play along with this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon. Link up your project over at the challenge blog and please check out what the other GIRLFRIENDS have created this week. There is SEW much inspiration!
Thanks for dropping in today and please stop back soon.
Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
Tracy
